It has been such an amazing trip already, celebrating the beauty of their culture and heritage, and experiencing the majesty of their birth country! We have had the BEST food, toured several cultural museum and parks to learn their history, done a cultural dinner and dancing where WE ended up being the entertainment for the night as the dancers brought us up from our seats to teach us how to dance the traditional Ethiopia dances. It has truly been magical and we are just getting started - this is just the first 2 days of a full week here! Can't wait to share the rest with you all!

Tears of gratefulness are coming that you are finally back in Ethiopia! It was a long wait! My heart rejoices with you! My Korean daughter went on a Holt’s Homeland Tour after her first year of college! She struggled with looking Korean. I prayed and she came back saying, “mom, I was around all these Asian people and it didn’t bother me!” She ended up marrying a fabulous Japanese young man, they had 3 sons and now I am a great grandmother of an adorable two year old granddaughter!

I love Your family, the love, respect and joy You share for eachother. In 1997 I was working as a nanny for a swedish missoionary family in Addis Abeba and Nakemte, Ethiopia. I absolutly adore the country, the people, the food and the heart of nation. Such warm nation, proud beautiful people, the food and coffee.
