$20 for EVA foam mats can be a spendy investment for cosplay not sure if any of you guys have a harbor freight tools store near by where you are but I usually get my 1/2 inch flooring mat EVA foam 4- 24"X24" sheets to a pack for $8, or $6.50 if you sign up for their coupons. hope this helps happy cosplaying.

Thanks for the tips! I'm going to embark on creating a set of Enclave Advanced Power Armor MK1 from F2 and NV (similar to the x01 in f4 if you didn't play F2 or NV, it is an improved version of the x01 prototype) the helmet is the most intimidating part, especially since the shape of the APA MK1 helmet is so curved and the bug eyes. I want the eyes to glow yellow as well. I have a few ideas, we'll see how it goes!

it might be slightly more cost effective if you buy the big rolls of anti-fatigue floor mat. It's the same thickness eva foam as what you use now but I got a 5×8 sheet for $20

Hey! Awesome vid! I wanted to ask if you eyeballed most of these fine detailes by looking at pictures online or if you had a 3d printed template to use. I have crafted my own t45d armor which can be seen on my channel. However, im not satisfied with the end result as i made it with pepakura and bonda which is extremely awkward and heavy to wear. Im having trouble on where to start with using foam. For instance, without using 3d printed templates and bondo ots extremely hard to make the t-60 helmet with all its detail by simply eyeballing it as seen in your vid. Are there any further tips you could give me on how to make the foam helm and where to start? I appreaciate it! Lots of text here but foamcrafting aint easy, haha.

Can you make a T-45 power armour? It is very different I would buy it, so please if you can make those for sale, I would undoubtedly buy them! If you have a page where you sell stuff, tell me

um i know this video is super old but i hope you'll get back to me, ok so i've been making a list of things i need to start a build and i've never done this before but do you use the water based contact cement or no because the solvent based warns it might melt the foam

I'm in the middle of my very first armor build (Pyrrha's leg armor, specifically), and I realized I have no idea how I'm going keep the armor in place over the leggings. Any ideas? BTW, I'm jealous of your workspace. We don't have a garage or any real outdoor space, so I had to find alternatives to Plastidip and contact cement, and I'm afraid that it shows.
@GraceWillow8 жыл бұрын
I love using heavy duty velcro for leg pieces! I use hot glue & super glue to fix them onto the armor and leggings.

4-6 light, misty coats work a bit better for smoothness. :^( I hope that helps! Some folks laytex spray instead of plastidip due to the finish.
