What was the original answer and where did u hear it
@emilyalgar49822 жыл бұрын
Was there a different answer? I do find the above answer a little naive. Yes, having a parent who creates art and who can show you that is a possible career is great, but also c'mon money. Her parents had the financial security to pay for music lessons for her etc. and the very fact of growing up in a financially stable household gives a child a lot of confidence and security. I really like her music and songwriting but acknowledge your financial and economic privilege.
@maxverafrank70612 жыл бұрын
It's not only the economic and financial privilege that accounts for her meteoric rise but also all the connections and resources that she has had direct access to because of who her father is.
@emilyalgar49822 жыл бұрын
@@maxverafrank7061 That also. He mother and father have all those connections, which has led to those entry level conversations. And yes, if her music was shit or she wasn't professional, those connections would only go so far, but still, to have those connections is a massive help when starting out in the creative industries whether it be film, music, tv, art, books etc.
@maxverafrank70612 жыл бұрын
@@emilyalgar4982 I remember seeing her in a spotfiy ad in Times Square around the time Minor was released. There are countless artists significantly more talented than she is that don’t get a fraction of the attention and promotion that she’s gotten right away. There are so many factors that work in her favor because of the kind of society we live in but I think she would have remained a relative unknown were it not for her family connections and name. Do I hate her for it? No. But I do wish she’d at least acknowledge it. It’s obvious that her answer to being called a nepo-baby wasn’t a good one-I mean it didn’t start off good- which is why it was cut short. Perhaps one day she’ll come to terms with it.
