Item 1. Batoko Swimming Costume, £55. www.batoko.com I really loved this swimming costume and wish it had fitted me properly, if they ever shake up their sizing I think I may have to make a cheeky purchase. I think totally go for it if you are happy to invest in a piece that you will wear over and over again, and its made from rubbish we love a good sustainable swimming cozzie.
2. Misfit Protein products Starter Pack £11.99 missfitsnutrition.com/collect... I think for a protein lover this would be great, and the protein balls were fab I just did not get on with that protein powder at all. BUT to be fair I have nothing to compare it to because I have never had one before. But I give the protein balls a solid thumbs up.
3. Gookie Dough, 12.45 with postage and packaging.gookiedough.co I actually really enjoyed this in the dough form, and the more you eat it the more I wanted? I just would not reccomend it baked (but to be fair it is sold as a cookie dough, not a cookie). They have LOADS of flavours, so be sure to check them out, but only the classic one is vegan.
4. Glossier Vinylic Lip www.glossier.com/products/vin... £14.00. LOVELY texture and loved the way it glided on the lip, HATED the colour but obviously that is personal, OK price point I feel for quite a high quality lip product. BUT I LOVE THE BIRTHDAY CAKE BALM!! (but that one wasn't reccomended to me to be fair)
5. Girlfriend Collective Leggings £64.00 www.girlfriend.com Ok this one was probably the hardest one for me to form an opinion on purely because it was usch a high price point for me personally. I LOVE the concept and they are superb leggings but I just dont know if they are worth that much?? I have kept them so will keep you posted on any updates and how they hold up etc.

It’s totally worth spending money on leggings. I was wasting my time for years on those £15 H&M leggings that just dissolve in the washing machine. Last year I bought proper compression leggings at around £50 and honestly-life changing. I have two pairs and don’t need anymore or see myself needing to replace them any time soon. They fit great and are comfortable as all hell. It’s something worth investing in.

About the accesibility of ethical clothes: Ethicaly made clothing (or other items) are not expensive, they are the real normal price! We just got used to dumping prices. If you cant afford new ethical items (which you might not and thats fine) you can shop less and keep it longer or shop second hand :) the „cheap“ prices are not cheap nor normal, they are based on child labour, environmental catastrophes and basically modern day slavery.

Still too expensive for me to buy. It doesn’t matter why they are that price, they are too much. A lot of people can’t afford to pay that much at one time so they buy cheaper stuff more often. (Literally everyone in my town) I’d love to buy ethically made things and plastic free and all that stuff, but I just can not afford it. I think it’s pretty naive of you to say it’s not expensive and normal stuff is just cheap because of the labour and whatever. The term ‘expensive’ isn’t given due to the cost of an item relating to what the item is and how it’s been made. It’s done by the cost of the item relating to the buyers bank account. For example, £5 for a coffee might not be expensive for someone else but it is for me. Or paying £4 for canned water is way too expensive for me, but maybe not for the person next door. Before saying that ethically made items aren’t expensive, think about the bank accounts of the people who would like to buy those items. For you they may not be expensive and that’s fine, but for me it’s almost impossible to buy ethically made and environmentally friendly (and whatever else,) items. Even on a one off. I get that this was a long reply to your comment, but your comment was pretty naive.

@@elizabethheard9851 I'm sorry that apparently my comment made you feel offended, that was definitely not my intention :) I'm a student myself living on a tight budget yet I still have not bought any new fast fashion items (other term for cheap, bad quality, unethical clothing) in over three years. Yes you are right, in certain extreme circumstances it might not be an option for you to buy ethical clothing for you, f.e. if you are a very busy single parent. But let's be honest in most circumstances there is a way. In my opinion the issue is that people just don't want to because they simple don't care enough about the workers making the clothes and therefore don't make the extra effort to find a way to afford ethical items. I for example started repairing clothes, swaping with friends, not running after every trend, saving money on other things and then I could afford a few pieces of ethical clothing every year. It is a matter of what lifestyle you are used to. However, it is a fact sustainable/ethical clothes just show the real price of clothing. They are not expensive, others are cheap. Cheap clothes are cheap for you but somewhere someone is paying for it. (if you are interested in this topic, I really recommend watching the true cost.)

@@annalovesdonuts This is true - I get nearly all my clothes secondhand / from Depop or eBay which is so so cheap, and if I do go to highstreet shops then I only go to sales...it's also about consuming less and accepting a smaller wardrobe and being satisfied with it. Wearing stuff you have owned for years but have never actually worn.:) I don't think the comment was naive. I think it's a pretty huge subject and there's lots of sides to it.

You could totally sew the shoulder straps a little shorter! Just turn it inside out, find the seem on the shoulder. Pinch the two sides together about a centimeter and sew a tiny line across the strap and trim the excess:)
