Grade 10 Identifying the Sample Space and the Probability of Compound events | SirABC
If we, for example toss a coin or roll a die, we have a simple event because we only have a simple number of outcomes and a simple number of favorable outcomes. It is not a complex procedure to identify the possible outcomes or the so called sample space.
But if we toss three coins, or if we roll two dice, we have compound events. If simple events are put together, thus producing different outcomes, the even is compound. The number of possible outcomes or sample space will be more difficult to find than that of simple events, obviously.
But don't worry mga Bes. In this video, we will learn different techniques on how to identify the sample space of compound events using the tree diagram, listing and using a matrix. Also, we are going to find the probability of compound events. :)
