Hi does anyone know, why do we always change the right hand side to its cofunction and not the left and side?

It's to do with getting the sign from the right side. So you change whichever side you are going to use to choose the quads for the other side's function... If that makes sense! This is definitely the one equation I don't think I can ever explain properly!
