@@cardboardcheddah3715 no! ......... The "grading" companies are the ones making the MONEY and......... AND(!!!) They have a lower opinion of their clientele than strippers do. And you sir have a fat case of denial. Cardboard gambling and cardboard hoarding are NOT(!!!) "Investing"........... its INFESTING! an infestation of little cardboard men. So very sad............

True. Trading cards had real values prior to 2000. Circulation of cards was figured in. The amount printed and the amount thay showed up on the market drove the prices. If they produced 1000 cards, and that day. Only 5 were rare. They got top dollar. I can remember selling cards for $100 crack on a regular basis for same year cards. Now those same cards are $.10. Valuable cards do not go down in value. These auction houses and trading market can inflate values. I can pick a crap card and sell it a few times to myself and alter the market values. It's only needs 4 variables. Condition, production, known in circulation, and player popularity.
