I think the Nix pick looks substantially better after Payton did black magic to make Franklin drop to round 4. The Broncos went from potentially the worst team in the league to a decent squad that still needs some work. Franklin may not have been exceptional elsewhere but being paired up with his college QB will allow for faster success than he may have otherwise found and vise versa for Nix

It doesn't matter what anything _looks_ like in advance. What did all the other QBs who had 45 TDs to only 3 INTs & only threw 5 TO-worthy plays in college do in the NFL? See? This is all your subconscious minds trying to categorize something you have no categories for. _STOP_ it. It's annoying.

gave Quinyon a B because u haven't seen enough tape of him 😂😂well, he's best corner in the Draft..top 10 talent 4.3 40, disciplined doesn't give up big plays, physical...maybe the steal of the draft imo...

I agree with turnovers being the biggest worry with Williams, but he doesn’t turn the ball over the least. List of turnovers from this past season for each QB drafted in the first round (picks and fumbles combined): Bo Nix - 3 JJ McCarthy - 4 Jayden Daniels - 5 Caleb Williams - 8 Drake Maye - 11 Michael Penix - 12

@jeaneratte6774 some of them you have their turnovers, others you have their interceptions only. Caleb threw 5 picks vs 31 TD. 31/5 is phenomenal for a QB.

Well I heard "I'm still not sure he's better than Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye" & have to ask "is he better than Justin Fields?" Seriously... If I made a split-screen video of their highlights would Williams be seen doing anything in college Fields hasn't already done at the same level *in the NFL?* Let's see. Scramble dead plays back to life? Check. Fling the ball 50+ air yards with a flick of his wrist? Check. At weird arm angles, on the run? Double-check. Hit receivers in stride? I mean if we're just assuming These Traits Will Translate Into the NFL then why waste the #1 pick on what you already have? Now I *know what* everyone is gonna say. First, "He Can't Read defenses." Then other things about his perceived lacks. I say "perceived" because "he hangs onto the ball too long" for some reason doesn't refer to "in the pocket." Observant fans seem to completely fail to notice that with the Bears, it's hang onto the ball or hand it to the pass-rusher you're scrambling away from. The thing is _all_ the perceived lacks of Fields have been proven to be false or due to play-calling. Only people forget when their Preconceived Notions are proven false. When he first started to stop himself passing to open receivers everyone could see this wasn't a Fields Making A Decision thing. The Bears all but openly confirmed this when Eberflus angrily chop-waved shut any reporter who tried to ask questions about this plus the Bears not even taking him into concussion protocol. When your QB suddenly develops a New Tendency that kills your offense why wouldn't a Single Staffer On The Team think he may have been concussed? Because he was executing the plays As Called. & the fans _knew_ this at the time because they said that "they had to do this to simplify the offense for him." If so, then why wouldn't Eberflus answer for it? Because there Is No Answer For It. How tf does *calling for* your QB to not pass to certain receivers (on _any play)_ "simplify" the offense or not kill the play? Walk me through that? So this is _WHY_ Fields got the rep for not being able to read defenses. The Bears (didn't) simplified the offense for him so it must be because he can't read defenses. Great logic, fans. Oh, another idiot said that "with the receiving corps he had in college he never had to learn to read defenses." More self-serving twisted nob-logic.
