I’m a nerd so gotta add a couple things: SAS also got BOS 2028 pick swap (T1 protected) in that Derrick White trade. Josh Richardson is not an expiring, he’s making about $12.2M in 22-23. Not sure what P is talking about with another pick in the Thad/Dragic trade. It’s just one FRP going to SAS then the DET ‘22 2nd going to TOR. So TOR moving down like 10-15 spots or so in the upcoming draft assuming things stay similar. Oh and that KZ Okpala trade. It freed up money for MIA to be able to sign Caleb Martin to a rest of season contract, and another roster spot + $ for a buyout guy, and they got a 2nd. The reason they were able to dump a guy and get a 2nd is bc they also amended a 1st they owed to OKC. They previously owed their 2023 1st lotto protected out to like 2026. They changed it to 2025 1st, lotto protected in ‘25, unprotected in ‘26. So now MIA will be able to trade their 2023 1st next season if they want to. Those are the benefits for MIA. It benefits OKC bc they know a ‘23 1st will likely be in the mid/late 20s, and they already have so many picks in 22/23 anyway. Now bc of the age of MIA roster, there’s upside for OKC. Maybe by 2025/2026 they’ll be way worse and they can get a lot better pick. So it’s a win now move for MIA and a future upside move for OKC. Love the content y’all, keep killing it.

Let me get this straight Ben is exempt of most criticism (because the environment was toxic), but Harden isn’t, Harden felt the environment was weird when everyone on his team wants to win a ring but Kyrie wants to be the voice for the voiceless more then getting a ring. Ben quit on his team but his quitting cause his team to lose a very winnable series. Harden quits mid season and the chatter is, he a bi***, soft ,baby. Ben felt depressed AFTER he quit and failed his team and his team didn’t have his back. Harden quit after he realized this team might not ever play enough games together to win, and Kyrie is costing his chances of winning a ring.

13:07-15:15 is so damn true. D Wade's first ring in 2006 was special too. D Wade, Dirk, Hakeem, Kobe, Giannis, Duncan, Curry, Jordan, LeBron, Kawhi, Kyrie and even CP3 have separated themselves above Harden in terms of legacy through their work ethic. His focus is not on the game or teamwork. 19:00-20:20 is true too that's why the Suns, Heat, Bulls, Grizzlies, and Cavs are playing so effortlessly this season. These young teams are not afraid of playing the Warriors, Nets or Lakers. 26:30 is when y'all get goofy defending Ben Simmons "mental issues" while ripping Kyrie apart just cause he doesn't want the vaccine. You want to talk about someone not sacrificing for their team? Look at Ben Simmons refusing to practice shooting, passing on open dunks, bringing his cell phone to practice, bailing, saying "I am who I am" after yet another pitiful playoff performance doing nothing in all 7 games' 4th quarters. It's not like this is the first time he's done this. He's done it each year now and never improved. Another player that gets his way and a lot handed to him especially with the personal accolades and no team success. Does it remind y'all of anybody? James Harden and Ben Simmons really are the perfect trade because they are near identical in a lot of departments other than shooting 🤣

I love this trade for both & love the pod, but man, P seemed really really biased in this… Hardens a crybaby for wanting to go to Philly (where he wanted to go, ahead of Brooklyn), but Ben is a great trade piece and looking to turn his reputation around lol Also, saying Brooklyn didnt put a good group together (especially last year) is a bad take IMO. Nobody can predict a vaccine mandate and if Ben gets injured and doesn’t play it’ll affect BK just like a Harden injury would…. No matter how much depth u have, losing ur star to injury is obviously gonna be a huge loss so not sure how the Nets having injuries to their key players = the depth sucks

People always talk about how Harden just stands there when he doesn't have the ball he just stands on one side of the floor. But most ball dominate stars do that. Lebron, KD, Dame, ect all just kinda stand there when they don't have the ball. Everybody just aint moving without the ball like steph.

KD standing around anywhere is a threat. Man don't need to pound the ball at all, we forget he played in GSW already?

Kings won the trade. Haliburton went from just a promising young guy on a bad team to the most overrated player in the NBA overnight. He's a horrible on ball defender, and struggles to create enough space for him to shoot with his wonky shot. Because of that he disappears from games regularly. Kings used him to shed two players that legitimately made them worse and fill all their needs.
@jacobpeels64802 жыл бұрын
As a kings fan who has watched majority games this year. I completely agree, not sure how Haliburton all of a sudden became so overrated. He’s good don’t get me wrong and has a ton of potential, but I’m really glad the organisation actually tried something different instead of constantly restarting and rebuilding

This shit is so ridiculous. Talking bad on Harden without context. His team had no depth, KD hurt for a lot of the year, and Kyrie is literally being a bigger baby, but no Harden is the baby. Said absolutely nothing about Ben Simmons literally quitting on a team. How is Harden the baby, but Simmons who has refused to play at all, deserving of a new situation? That shit makes no sense at all.
