In this video, we'll explore the storm-battered ocean planet of Kamino from the Star Wars universe and dive deep into its depths to analyze its realism and the challenges that planets like it face.

That is...surprisingly fitting considering all the tragedies Kamino experienced in universe. Especially in the bad batch show.

By star wars planet realism standards a B- is really good. Its fun to think maybe there are ocean worlds similar to Kamino out there to explore. Seeing sunken alien cities beneath their depths as well as massive underwater creatures.

Kamino is dealing with even quicker extinction in the form of the Empire orbital bombing the Kaminoan cities, with many dying and some scattering away from the planet or being imprisoned by the Empire.

The erosion bit made me think, wouldn't a natural water world (either those that have 70% or more of their mass be water or those that just have entire surface covered with it) have drinkable or almost drinkable oceans of water if there's next to none sources of solvents to make it more saltier and mineral-rich? Wouldn't be polluted with organic byproducts for sure, since same lack of erosion would also mean no nutrients for life, perhaps not enough even for abiogenesis to occur at all.

I look forward to the day you get to Mustafar. Given how messed up everything in that system is, oh boy that's gonna be a fun video.

*that is one detailed Model of Kamino... and the first time we get a much larger Ocean World within this Series, And i'm actually surprised that Kamino ended up getting 5 Stars for the Mass-Density, Planetary Composition, and the System Realism Scores.* *I wonder to who will be next on the chopping board.*

Good video as usual. I do wonder if there might be some way nutrients are spread after the loss of continents. Life is surprisingly tenancious, and some strange forms might evolve that keep the cycle turning for a while longer. Though if it's heading for a boiling hothouse climate, the prospects for macroscopic life are pretty grim.

As always, excellent video! Would you consider doing one about the planet Solaris from the eponymous book?

Speaking of some Star Wars Planets, i found one that seemed... interesting. The Planet in question is named, Sernpidal. and while not much was explained for it in Canon, Star Wars Legends does present more information about the Planet itself. accordingly, it has a Diameter of 11,440 Kilometers, a Rotational Period of 29 Standard Hours, and an Orbital Period of 463 Standard Days. it was orbited by two Moons. though, one of which, Dobido (who has a Diameter of approximately 20 Kilometers), was sent hurtling towards to Sernpidal and eventually collided with the Planet. Sernpidal was ultimately destroyed by the Rogue Squadron, after making a Successful Assault on the Planet. now, everything seems normal, except for the Two Moons Part. that is until its Orbital Distance from its Home Star was specified. it was stated to be orbiting its Home Star at a Distance of 115,000 Kilometers. now, when i put the Specified Orbital Period and Distance onto the Kepler's Third Law Calculator on Omnicalulator, to see the Star's Mass. i ended up getting -1 Earth Mass... No joke, it actually gave me that specified number.

*to be fair, Apokolips might be a difficult planet to discuss. Such as it appearing the size of a Galaxy in its realm, but appears either smaller Than Earth or bigger than Saturn when its in a Regular Universe.* *the same can be said for its Twin Planet, New Genesis.*

Do you consider the physiology of Kaminoans to be unfitting for having evolved on heavier planet? They could have a lot of back issues even on Earth.
