I don't think McCrimmon is done yet and there is a big move in the works to pick up another scoring forward. WTF... Have patience.

Speaking of Tony's Jets hat, I wouldn't be surprised if they pick Eihlers from Winnapeg for Shea. Winnapeg needs defense, and he is a fast, excellent, offensive player. Also, he is very creative. Both are on the last year of their contracts. He is 28 years old.

VGK is in a strange position. They are now forced to utilize players that are going to be a lot of unknown quantities. Players picked up in free agency that weren’t wanted and rostering young players developed in their system more than ever. I’m curious which young guys will get the opportunity to become mainstays and which get traded at the deadline.

Samsonov I watched a lot with Caps..then with Leafs. Consistency seemed to be his challenge. With Caps he split starts which seemed problematic maybe contributing to his waning reliability. Struggled again with consistency with Leafs…better as season progressed. Akira Schmid looked really good early on..but wasn’t ready for the unsteady defense New Jersey was offering in front of him. Looked like a promising net minder.

Marchessault is 33, i figured maybe McCrimmon only gave a 2-3 year deal which at the end of the deal. Marchessault would have been 35-36 years old. Hertl is 30 now, the end of his contract is 2029-2030, where Hertl will be about 35. Pietrangelo is 34 now end of his contract, he will be 37. I think McCrimmon doesn't want to sign the players past a certain age. It is just my opinion though.

He’s a very frustrating player. I felt the same way about Marchessault often, but scoring 40 has a way of offsetting the frustration.
