Davis' impact is understated here. You mentioned sue and Joseph, but didn't note they were added because the eagles run d fell off a cliff when Davis got hurt. He's a monster in the run game and allows us to play 2 high on early downs.

The Jaguars GM Trent Baalke has always valued ultra athletic players. Look at his time as SF and JAX’s GM and he always took guys that were pure athletes. @@diggsreport6804 it also was a division fit as well as Travon is way better as a run stuffer, as JT and King Henry are in the division. He was great. But it helped playing on a team who overall defense was very good. They got pressure on the QB with 4. Which made his job easier. You only need to defend 2 seconds and not 3. Like Richard Sherman in Seattle. He was good made better because of who was around him and a defense and that pressure on the QB with only 4 guys. Again, Sauce was great. Don't think it didn't help he was on a very good defense too.

Really good analysis. The only other thing I would say about Hutchinson is that he was a key element in a team that last year seemed to know they were going to get beat on big plays or were not capable of stopping a defense when needed to one that knew they had a chance. It didn't always work, but you could sense the confidence level was higher in every game.

Great video and fantastic grades overall. Two things I'd say is that Neal was injured for most of the year I believe so it makes sense his play was hampered. And secondly while Jahan's stats were solid considering he was injured, his tape is AMAZING. Maybe not as good as Wilson or Olave and doesn't quite have the same ceiling but his route running ability, hands, and yac are superb. I'd personally give him a B+ or A-, also I wonder what all these grades would look like if value was considered.

I don't want to bash the Jags, they hit a grand slam drafting Lawrence (but it's more like a base hit because he's the no-brainer #1), but they have top picks a lot and mostly they like to reach on those. Drafting Hutchingson #1 would've been like Texans drafting Mario Williams before, he's a solid safe gamble that contributed 10 seasons. It's a pick that isn't going to get the GM fired, and allows to build other pieces around him.

You've a fan in me for life. Great, well researched, and grounded takes. I do have one, albeit very, very minor nitpick; The A+ grade is literally a perfect score and should be reserved as such. Sauce should have been the only one you gave out. It would have meant so much more impact wise. As a Cowboys fan as much as I'd love for Micah to get the A++ that's not on the scale lol. When you give out the A+ like candy that's where it leaves you. Having to break the scale to properly convey reality. Also, be safe as well and I love you too.

Kenyon Green was beaten time and again throughout the 2022 season. He has to get better, because he was so very horrible in his rookie season for the Houston Texans. The think I did not like about Derek Stingley’s rookie season was his running the INT out of the end zone and getting tackled inside the five against Jacksonville, and then his being injured for much of the last half of the season. He has to stay healthy.

Ridder seemingly knew to throw to London when needing a play while Marcus would throw to random receivers not names Pitts. I don't think London gets 100 receptions and 1400 yards with Pitts on the field and Ridder at QB but I think he'd have been able to show more consistency and gotten to like 1100 and 6 TDs. I'm glad you do this for the end of the year. I prefer the grades after the year once the rookies had a chance to show us what they're made of instead of the week of the draft when we haven't seen anything from them yet. I'm diggin all of the love for the Lions in the comment section. ONE PRIDE!

That grade on Neal makes it sting less that my Bears sacrificed such a high pick to move up for Fields last year. That said, here’s hoping they can fleece someone for the #1 pick to get Fields the OL and WR help he needs to properly develop while still having a high enough pick to get premium defensive talent. Best bet would be Houston getting desperate to block Indy and trading 2/12/34 for #1 and 65.

I would give Jordan Davis a higher grade than c+ for the simple fact that opponents run the for for just over 2 yards per carry with him on the field and around 5 or so with him off the field, that’s a big difference

Pretty good. Evan Neal was very good in the run game but D is a good grade for him.

Indeed. The 13 pressures and 1 sack in the playoffs sounds bad but he went against reddick and hunter, 2 pro bowl pass rushers. He also dominated hunter in the run game and lead to giants to multiple tds on the ground.

I think your grade for Jordan Davis is a bit harsh. True, he didn't play a ton, but that was because Philly has a very heavy DL rotation and tons of other talent on it. He was an absolute monster against the run and will probably develop some pass rushing skills as he gets more experience. He's a more talented version of Dexter Lawrence and I fully expect he'll surpass him in time.

There’s a reason the eagles signed Joseph and Suh. It was because Jordan Davis was out and teams ran all over them. Jordan David is integral to the eagle’s run defense

I think Ekwonu tied for the most penalties at his position and allowed 6 sacks. There were times where he got dominated. He got better as the season went along, but I wouldn’t say an A.

Like the videos man, but I think you might be a bit off on Jordan Davis. You are right that he’s not a numbers guy, it’s the pressure and environment he brings the field that makes me think he should at least be B. The rushing yards allowed per game when he played was 118.69 and in the 4 games he was out, that went up 131.25. Per play it was 1.87 vs 2.11 yds. He’s not a player making the sack, but he’s making the openings for it. Just my take on his play. Keep up the good work!

I would say Sauce is in the Parsons category, but Micah was in the DPOY running. Sauce wasn't. In terms of pure corners, he is an A++ tho, but maybe not overall if ya get what I mean

I get the D for Evan Neal but I think it’s a little unfair considering he played injured almost the whole year. Also, granted Andrew Thomas was considered a bust before become a premier tackle, I think Evan Neal has a bright future.

I was absolutely stoked with how the Ravens rookie class turned out this year. Hamilton, Linderbaum, and Ojabo we’re all absolute steals and all ended up playmakers once they got a couple reps in.

I can't believe Linderbaum dropped that far to be honest. There are several teams with garbage C's that should have taken him ahead of the Ravens.

Add Likely to that list as well. What a steal in the 4th. Was a shame neither of the corners taken hit, but still rookies. Should've taken Woolen.

In the Parsons universe, it is hard to compare any other good rookie season as an edge rusher. If Hutchinson gets an A+ (probably deserved) then Parsons gets a graduate degree and a job in the front office.

Went to a few lions games this year and saw they put a jamo quote on the screen, that every time he gets the ball, he’s looking towards the endzone every single time. Definitely shows with 1 catch 1 td, 2 and 2 if the packers one doesn’t get called baxk

ikem ekwonu is the first franchise left tackle for my team in a decade. if we had him in our 2015 run, we would have won the super bowl. what a pick. rhule's tenure was a comedy of errors, but the draft was not one of them. jeremy chinn, derrick brown, jaycee horn, ikem ekwonu, terrace marshall jr, brady christensen, chuba hubbard and tommy tremble are all starting caliber picks and he had final say. ikem might be the best of all of them.
