Grafton & Upton Railroad - chase from Hopedale to Upton

Mini chase from Hopedale to Upton MA. The train was waiting at the Hopedale Distribution Center for the maintenance crew to clear the track. GU 1158 was pulling and GU 1191 was pushing the cars back to North Grafton. Both are former CSX MP15s. The first part of the video was a little shaky due to proximity of the camera to the track. I’d like to thank the driver of the white truck at the end of the video for not blocking my shot!! Enjoy!

Awesome video of the switchers which is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE locomotive on a short line railroad! And I wish I lived in the house that had it's own private crossing! I'd certainly be in my glory w my fascination of trains. Thanks for sharing this video CMF and I'm viewing it from Delmar, Delaware.

It’s a safety thing, just like electricians red tagging a switch box and locking it before working on a circuit. Track crew will put out derailers on each end of a work area. Think runaway engine or just plain stupidity, it happens.

Some verbal narration wouldn’t hurt. Video started flickering when train going by on screen. 🤷🏻‍♂️
