We seem to be pressing forward a lot. Which is a good thing. Also you can tell the fear to not lose, that made us mostly play in our half, is quite low. Good start. Will be interesting to see what's to come

Not much. The quick passing and possession play are there even since we're with sarri. The problem is always the finishing.

@@ardhiograph we buildup too slow under tuchel, with potter its much quicker so opponent cannot get in shape. With time we can be more threatening

@@sabagisara and makes us vulnerable to counter attack like when we're with Lampard. But that's ok, since every strategy has pro and cons. And I still stand with my point that Chelsea's problem is never the build up play but the finishing. There is a reason why we change strikers so many times recently. I'm sure you can name them yourself. Play slow possesion is fine. It's just boring for some people. Every strategy are working as long as we create chances. Even with TT we also created many chances but most of them go wasted. That's the problem.

Last season Brighton's issue was finishing even after creating good chances and early this season they seemed to have worked on it. I'm trying to stay optimistic that even here at Chelsea Potter will work on it

Honestly it was a good game for Graham Potter I just don't understand why azpi had to start yesterday koulibaly and fofana were in decent form but the fluidity was so smooth and amazing and the passing honestly speaking broja did a lot more than havertz in 15 mins but we've to wait and trust the process as this is a transitional period for us apart from that it was a good game

I think Potter didn’t bench azpi because it would be a bad look to bench the team captain in this first game in charge. I don’t even think azpi was a huge issue tho tbh, what was worse was we lacked execution in the final third again. I agree, Broja needs to start as he was amazing in his 15mins, showing really good no-nonsense attacking

Hope everyone notice how important Jorgi is for this match. In Tuchel era his job was to create the build up and tell his teammates to go and make runs. But here, he plays just like in Sarri era, in a systematic gameplay Jorgi dictates his teammates during build up, while also do what he does when Tuchel was the coach.

The team seems to pass faster forward for this game. I find the highlights show they lack loads of confidence in the opponents box. Either they are not confident to break the offside or they are afraid to be more direct with shots and look to pass it on. I feel they should just pepper the opponents goal even if the chance is not high, you nv know where rebounds may end up and the defend will be harder to predict your play so you can pick passes easily. If you keep sticking to playing passes, they just have to defend the cross. Hopefully they start getting confident gg forward with the more effective press up front.
