This is an incredible video. I love love love that he’s showing the entire screenshot of an image and talking and showing how to use the features available. And showing different types of subjects. Landscape and people are some of them while using his stylus changing what he desires for the image he’s showing and why. This is exactly what I need. Thank you Graham!

Just Purchased the FZ2500 and Needed to Learn a Lot Fast! You Really Helped! I'd say you're the best presentation on KZbin for this Camera Alone! Thank you, Graham!

Thank you Graham for these tutorials. There is no way I would be able to get the best out of this camera without your videos. I am a beginner with a lot to learn and your teaching methods are very, very good.

Hi Graham, After watching the video I knew what I wanted to put in a comment, only to see that someone has already posted what I wanted to say. I have had the camera for just over 18 months, but have just learned a couple of extra things. I'm sure that will continue to happen as I follow the series. Many thanks indeed.

Although I've had my Fz2500 for nearly 2 years I'm learning new ' undiscovered ' elements from your videos. Well done.

I've had this camera for over year and i almost sold it, but i recently shot some video and pictures of my children with it and fell in love again. I bought it to use as a b-cam for shooting wedding videos but the lowlight performance is pretty bad. But i can't bring myself to sell it. It may not be the tool i grab for all the time, but man it's really good for most things. Your series is excellent. I never use auto modes, but i could've really used this mode when shooting the kids the other day. Thanks for the great info

Thanks, Graham. Another great series. I've just picked one of these up (practically unused - it's in immaculate condition) on ebay for £550 and absolutely loving it. What's the point in reading through an instruction booklet when you've done a much better job that's easier to follow. It's also nice to have it in a Mancunian accent.

Noise, how big a problem? At higher ISOs sure it is there. But how much of a problem is it really? I shot and uploaded a short video titled Roy's Trains at 3500 ISO in a basement of the owner's house using only the light provided. No post processing, just straight uploaded it to KZbin. In the first few seconds, Roy's face has very little light and the noise is severe. But the train layout has more light and I think is not bad at all. There are at least 3 videos titled Roy's Trains, only one is from me, so look for that one . Thanks Graham, I did learn about the flyout in iA mode thanks to you!

Hi, do you know why my fz2000 when in ia mode has started taking one dark photo followed by one light photo so basically need to now take two photos to get correct colour? Not sure why this is happening ..

Hi Graham: I will be buying the 2500 in 2 weeks and enjoy nature/wildlife photography. As a disabled veteran with 2 head injuries, I am intimidated with digital cameras, (Sequence steps) and your 2 videos on the Panasonic Lumix FZ2500 are a huge help for me trying to get a good grasp on how to use the camera. If I am correct, Priority mode adjusts shutter speed and aperture and MF allows me to manually focus, am I correct? I plan on using a 128GB SD card, is that okay in this camera? Also, if I set my ISO at 800, that should be okay, right? Camera info says the camera is weather sealed but I believe you said it isn't. I am thinking of rainy weather conditions. Thank you for reading my comment. Raymond
@GrahamHoughton12
@GrahamHoughton12 4 жыл бұрын
Hello Raymond. Definitely keep the camera out of the rain - it IS NOT weather sealed (I learned the hard way!) Yes P mode is fully automatic and adjusts aperture and shutter speed but does not use the scene detection modes that iA has (an gets wrong) MF does indeed allow you to manually focus the lens. I would suggest 32 or 64GB cards class U3 rather than 128GB for the reason that they are cheaper and failure means you loose less images/video. Try always to keep the ISO as low as you can to preserve image quality - ISO 800 is the limit really for good image quality.

Hi Graham, how do you find the resolving ability of the 2000 vs the 1000? Considering there were reports early on that the 2000 lens was a tad 'softer' than its predecessor?
@GrahamHoughton12
@GrahamHoughton12 6 жыл бұрын
Yes it is true the FZ2000 is slightly softer as they have pushed the max zoom out a little to 480mm EFL. For video shooters (which I suspect is the main target) it isn't that much of a deal but for stills you can see a difference certainly beyond 300mm

Many thanks for the reply Graham. Great channel by the way! :-). I have the 1000 & it certainly is a keeper. Panasonic set the bar so high when it came out nearly 5 years ago, that it hardly feels dated now, if at all. Superb camera! If fact, if you look on DPreview at the number of people that 'own' the 1000, compared to the 2000 & all the other various RX10 models, you have to add up nearly ALL the owners of the other cams to equal the owners of the 1000 !!!

Hi Graham, great information video, do you switch off the camera stability when your on a tripod? Gerry
@GrahamHoughton12
@GrahamHoughton12 6 жыл бұрын
It's generally recommended as the OIS tries to correct for motion, however I've never seen any adverse effect if i forget and leave it on.

BEHIND the shutter release button is a W on one side and T on the other. What do they do?
@GrahamHoughton12
@GrahamHoughton12 4 жыл бұрын
This adjusts the lens zoom - wide is to mode to wide angle (if it is away from the 25mm position) and T is for telephoto. This is the case unless you have re-programmed the function of the zoom lever to another use.

I'm trying to decide between the FZ2500 vs FZ1000M2, which is 2.5 years newer. It adds Bluetooth, LCD is a bit better at 1.24 MP, 440 shots per battery vs 350, USB charging, a more modern menu system, and I would think 2.5 years of advancement in sensor/imaging. But of course the FZ1000M2 takes away the Cinema 4K, ND filter, headphone jack, lower zoom (25-400mm vs 24-440mm), and has a normal zoom lens vs. this FZ2500 where the outer lens barrel stays fixed and less chance of dirt getting into the zoom mechanism. But as of now (March 2022) the FZ2500 is 5.5 years old, and FZ1000M2 is 3 years old. In the world of electronics, 5.5 years is considerable, heading towards dinosaur. And none of these models have 4K 60P which any modern iPhone or Galaxy phone has like my 3 year old Galaxy S10e which shoots at 4K 60p.

Sorry - don’t know if it’s your mic (and too much bass), the accent, my expensive headphones, my ears, or a combination of the above, but I could actually make out/understand about 1/4 of what you said in this volume 2.
