Grew up in North York in the 70's and had season tickets. Sitler, Salming, Palmateer and Williams use to get their haircuts at my barber's by our house. They would go out of their way to talk to us and tell us stories and handed out enough mem to start your own hockey team! I use my Mike Palmateer goalie stick in street hockey until it fell apart. The good old days were good!

Such great anecdotes. I used to wait by the side door of the Montreal Forum for Flower and Big Bird to sign with a frozen Bic pen. I recently emptied my parents' home of all my row of old wooden street hockey sticks. Could you imagine anyone today using a Joseph Woll stick for street hockey? They would immediately price it on eBay.

Thanks for this break Fulton. My 6 yr old daughter loves the Leafs, and loves hockey cards. She enjoyed seeing and learning of the vintage players. #Dryden

Nice to see Sundin in this set. He was nowhere to be found in UD’s leaf centennial set.

Amazing cards! Don’t really follow any team in the NHL, but the Leafs have a special place in my heart. Salming, Hammarström, Sundin, Modin amongst other Swedish absolute LEGENDS. Especially now when I watch the Salming miniseries, a lot of the old cats like Sitler and Macdonald show up in cameos. Great product, great break and congratulations on your pulls, well deserved! #dryden

It always feels good when you get the autograph of a player and it's so elegantly made that you can actually read it. We've once scored a Sergueï Samsonov which was literally two random lines aligned in a weird way. Funny anecdote, we've pulled that card in a 04-05 SPA pack, but it's just a straight buyback from the 00-01 UD Legends set. We've immediately laughed at our destiny because we had like over 150 packs of 00-01 UD Legends to open that holiday season. When we got the thing we made the joke that "no matter what we open, it's gonna be an 00-01 Legends signature".

This is a prime example to me of why Leaf product, licensed or not, is a great product to break. With current products, you are hoping to hit 1 decent auto or memorabilia. A product like this delivers. So many cool autos and memorabilia cards. Great break, great product, great cards. Have a fantastic day Fulton. #Dryden

Sure, and CHI and STL. Based on the comments I usually get, ppl associate him most with CGY, TOR, and BUF. Less so the other teams. I'm not sure why. It prob relates to his playoff runs, and which jerseys UD showcases the most.

Best break ever and it may be my bias as I’m a leaf fan. Fun fact Vaive and Gilmour both resided in East York a small borough in Toronto. As a kid I went door to door canvassing annd low annd behold Vaive and he sponsored me for a eventAs for the hits I’d take the best seven and hold them to my grave. Thanks really enjoyed this one #dryden

this stuff is amazing if they made a Bruins box like this I would definitely be buying it for sure. It’s too bad that the Bruins Centennial box that’s out is a retail thing, it’s 50 bucks a box and you get a whole set of cards and you have a few chances at some decent things, but autographs are a longshot. I still want to own one but something like this would be far better

These products are wicked and how couldn't they be with Brian Price making this stuff. I miss itg products back when he owned itg and got so so many sick cards from breaking btp, h&p's, enforcers, decades, etc.. you just don't see that kinda stuff anymore at the cheaper price point. Leaf certainly does a great job at carrying on the itg name I just wish their stuff was a little cheaper. Can't beat legends products like these especially when it comes to the mem cards. Congrats on the great box
@Fultoncards
@Fultoncards 10 ай бұрын
Agreed. Just to clarify Brian Price was ITG, and he now does President's Choice (unrelated the President's Choice food and beverages, even though they mimic the font). Brian Gray bought ITG and turned it into Leaf, which is unrelated to the old Leaf trading cards, and has nothing to do with President's Choice. This Leaf is out of Dallas, and unrelated to the old Donruss Leaf (1980s/1990s). In August, Brian Gray from the newer Leaf stepped down, and Kevin O'Neil became CEO.

For what it's worth. I've been breaking boxes since the 70s. It is bar none a Top 5 product of mine. The cards are absolutely cherished at shows. You just can't find contemporary products with Jacques Plante signed sticks, or Turk Broda and Howie Morenz autos. Morenz died in 1937. PC and ITG have never relied on proprietary licensing, pretentious design, or the rookie-du-jour who tanks a year later (like The Cup at $1,000+/box). They are campy, playful and affordable cards of HOF. I've been able to build out the Habs set and the cards are astonishing, including numerous players who are long deceased, nameplates, literal pieces of the goalposts, Vezina's skates, red forum seats signed by Lafleur, etc. I'll take those over a Kaprizov who entered the NHL at age 25 and will probably retire in the KHL and never ride up the all-time stats boards, i.e. $1,500 cards in year one but $150 cards a few years later.

Hi William. Thanks for your feedback. A little bit of intel, if you are curious to read (a full paragraph, after muting my voice). My vids are around 10 mins. This vid was very *intentionally* double as it is a depleted product about the history of an O6 team, posted on a Sunday (as was advertised on my community page). I made a point of doing a considerable edit, even scouring for deep-cut soul music beds. It was a ton of work. My vids are educational, generally about odds, rarely if ever gaming/gambling or instant gratification. My uploads are equally all about enthusiasm and intensity. I do receive a comment like yours once or twice a year. Still, for each 1,000 views I receive half a thumbs down. If you watch my release day breaks, they will receive 2,000 views and most often 100% thumbs up. They provide a deep dive on product math, including for group breaks. They necessitate research and a machine gun of chattiness that transcends other breakers who "just open boxes," and fast. To me those breaks not only encourage gambling, but they are like a monosyllabic dog gulping down a treat without even tasting it. My YT community fosters thoughtful *discussion* not just coveting material possessions, like ostentatious bling. My breaks are less about the pulls and more about understanding average box outcomes, or broader economic or historical context. Invariably when someone directs hostility at me, I can guess it is their very *first* comment on my channel. Plus often they too have a channel, but it doesn't garner 100 views. Which is fine. The algos push what they push. Whether I do or don't then write a detailed response, as a good communicator, they then give my future vids thumbs down for a month, until they burn themselves out and aim their frustration elsewhere on social media. I don't mind either way, as social media is about engagement. This to say, I appreciate your comment. But, I'm not sure how it relates to the fundamental nature of my channels, which is a marathon never a race. If it's not for you, you do you.
