GRAIL ACHIEVED! XM Studios Poison Ivy [Samurai] Statue Review!

Today I review what I consider to be a "grail" in the collecting world, the Samurai Poison Ivy by XM Studios. I'm so happy to finally have her in the Batcave!!

Your collection gets even more amazing! Poison Ivy is my fave female character in DC Comics! Phenomenal work has gone into this piece clearly, I love how her carnivorous plants are shown with the beautiful Sakura Blossom, and Ivy herself is so stunning and elegant!

Wow Chris congrats on getting this piece. It is so bittersweet for me to watch you present this sculpt to me because it is that white whale I wanted. Poison Ivy is my daughter's favorite characters in the Batman universe and she also loves the old fashioned Japanese style and culture. So I wanted to get this statue for her when it sold out before I could raise the money to get it. You showing it off reminds me how incredible this Poison Ivy really is. Once again congrats on getting her.

This statue is absolutely gorgeous, Poison ivy is definitely one of my favourite villians and this is a beautiful interpretation of her. On a side note, Sakura (cherry blossom) are my favourite flower so that's a hit for me as well!🌸

REALLY wanna see a samurai two-face. Of all the villains, two-face will translate SO well. I can imagine him as a yakuza boss with a gnarly half fire burned face...would be incredible. Imagine if they gave him HALF yakuza irezumi full body tattoos and a half fire burned robe or something...

The "socks" are called tabi. Traditional Japanese socks. This is a great piece and anyone that owns her has a great piece but I still prefer my traditional Ivy. This one is a great alternate version. Price of her now is way outside my price range even if I could get one. XM pieces do tend to go up in price over time so make for good investments but not always.

I absolutely love the Samurai line and this poison ivy statue I remember seeing a few years ago at Comic-Con love the detail and the design and patterns on this beautiful statue I didn't know she comes with a second head sculpt the first one gives her a more seductive dangerous maybe maybe not look and the second one is more of a beauty but devilish look I definitely see why it's a grill and how it's so hard to find I have no idea but I think they should have made a ninja Deadshot statue from this line

The left eye is off unfortunately. It should be a little more centered. Natural eyes don’t do that. Both eyes move exactly with each other at exactly the same space. One eye should never be looking more at either direction unless you have a genetic deformity, in which case this ivy does.

I can't abide the XM Samurai line, It's ill conceived nonsense! I also believe the term grail is seriously overused, especially, as a collective term. I wouldn't want this statue, therefore It's not a grail for me. It's worth noting that once a 'grail' is in hand and no longer sought after, It ceases to be a grail. Other collectors may continue to seek and pursue a particular piece but for those that have acquired the highly desirable piece the search is over, rendering the term 'grail' redundant!

@@BatmanStatueCollector I don't know if this is an issue across the whole production for that particular Poison Ivy, but I had a statue with the same problem awhile back and contacted support. I had to film myself destroying the head, but they sent me a new one without the defect. Worth a shot.
