The small 1ft high form holding the gravel in place, did you leave that and just bury it in concrete?

Buried it when we poured the concrete.

Did you build your own forms? Can you give specs? Thanks. Very helpful

I built the forms we use. They are 2 foot square 2"x4" frames with 1/2 inch plywood on one side. I have different size shims that go between the form sections to allow for different size bin pads. We have used them on a 15 foot pad up to a 36 foot pad. Here is a better picture: www.crowsnest.us/images/Message_1470527536874.jpg

Crow Farms thank you so much. Will be building these soon!

We use 3/8" bolts and heavy fender washers to bolt the sections together and wrapped the completed forms with 2 runs of cable to hold against the pressure of the concrete.

What did you use to make the frame for the concrete? I am looking to buy a grain bin for a gazebo and need to know how to make a round frame for my pad

What we did was make 2'x2' reusable panels and bolt enough of them together to make the diameter pad we need for the bin. More panels for the 27' bin and less for the 21' bin. I have heard of people using plywood and bending it into the circle.

What diameter again? Used bin?

The bin is a new bin. A 27' diameter, 22' tall. 11,000 bushel.
