Something similar happened to me about a month ago. I was in a minivan with my kids. Ended upside down in the ditch. Not even a mile away from my house. Glad you're ok! Thank God! My son loves your "tractor songs"!

Its more freaky in the night. About 3 years ago. I almost rolled over in my old car, I was in canada and it was december, My car lost traction, went in the ditch, hit the guard I made it out and actually got to a gas station and inspected the damage. Thankfully it was much but its scary almost rolling over, its still haunting me these days but not as much. Later I got my new car with is a Jeep Grand Cherokee after a few hours of owning it I got rear-ended by somebody who lived close to me. That also happened at night, who knows if we would have rolled down the hill I'd most likely be dead because there was no intersection lights and then there was a second hill we intersection lights at the bottom. I don't want anything like that to happen to me ever again.

My daughter had a semi drift into her lane while they were both northbound on the highway. Spun her car around so she hit the median and then spun back across all the lanes of traffic and went down into the ditch. He denied hitting her. His insurance after months of stalling finally paid for the vehicle when we got an attorney. It's a year later. We are still waiting to settle on medical bills and counseling for PTSD. But yeah, she walked away from it and that was the important thing. Always make sure you get the contact info for any witnesses.

Its good to know you were buckled in. That helped keep you from severe injury. My arm was sore when I overturned in an empty reefer about 3 years ago.

What a great attitude you have! I am thankful that you are okay. I have been run off the road by a semi. I was in a small sedan on a highway and he changed lanes and obviously didn't see me. I was okay fortunately. I am very careful around semis now.

Thank God you're alive! Many years ago at a 1 day truck drivers seminar, they stressed staying to the right if someone else is in your driving lane coming at you. You made the best choice. Equipment can be replaced, your presence is irreplaceable!

Thanks for sharing. I drove truck for couple years and I seen a lot of close accident. God watches over us. You don't know what was going on in his life and maybe he wasn't ready to go. A lot of people that commented like you said on Facebook probably has never been in this kind of situation before. The last thing on your mind is making sure that you swap a little paint. Ive been in the same position as you. Unfortunately its a memory that never really goes away. The fact that you're both still a live is great and a blessing. Awesome attitude, sounds like you are approaching the situation the best anyone could. Everyone makes mistakes, your comments about the other driver say a lot about the kind of man you are. Your family should be very proud of you and the way you are dealing with it. Many years ago I had a similar situation, fortunately my trailer was empty and the truck stayed upright but stuck in the ditch. Take what you can from the experience and know that you did everything right.

Years ago I was run off the road into a steel reinforced telephone pole. They never caught the guy, but after a long hospital stay I recovered. The main thing is to keep your sense of humor and lean on those that love you - you have plenty in both those departments!

that's likely to happen, semi's are pretty identifiable, and with witnesses and DOT records, punishments with CDLs are pretty strict. one accident can end a career

Im glad you are okay. I overturned a tractor trailer in 2017 and I was uninjured. I climbed out the window when it happened to get out of the truck. Hopefully they catch up with the cattle hauler driver.

Man I feel for you I had a similar situation . I'm very lucky to be alive but it came at a cost to me. I broke my pelvis and now disabled because my right leg suffered severe nerve damage and it's a dead foot now and 4 years later I'm still doing physical therapy because I can't bring my toes back to me and have to wear a brace to keep it at a 90 degree angle. No witnesses to the accident. And the other driver didn't stop or nothing. I lost in the end but won my life still. Remember you did the right thing taking the fall. That was great driving on your part. I'm just glad you're okay bud.

Glad you’re alright. I been there. Rolled a frightliner loaded with pine logs. Ab same situation, went off rd to miss oncoming car and swerved off the rd and thought I was good until the trailer tires hit the ditch bank and it caved in. Had logs come thru the cab. Walked away w a busted ear and some minor cuts, but that’s one ride I don’t wanna make again. Thankfully the Almighty saved us both. Man ppl don’t half watch the rd anymore bc of these damn phones. I quit hauling for ppl just bc of that mess

What a mess.....what a frustrating mess. After watching your video, considering the circumstance, you seem to be ok. As you say, so thankful you were not hurt. As for the other truck and driver, sooner or later, they will be found. Might take a few days but you know what the truck and trailer look like and you have witnessed. Good luck. Hi I am new to your channel I live in Drogheda on the east coast of Ireland. Sorry to hear of your accident and thank GOD no one was hurt or killed material things can be replaced life and limb cannot. I know first hand about fatal accidents in 1975 my mother, father, brother and myself were coming from mass a drunk driver crashed into us. My dad died on impact as did the drunk driver. My mother passed away nine days later the woman passenger lived for five weeks my brother was in hospital and is now happily married I was in hospital for three months and now happily married. I was 12 and my brother was 16 when it happened it's bad enough living without my parents all these years but our kids never met their grandparents and that's the hardest. Life goes an but at a cost. Thank GOD everyone in your accident are all safe and well and thats down to your quick thinking and good and safe driving. GOD BLESS

It’s too bad someone didn’t get any info off the truck. That’s the issues with a lot of semi drivers now days. It’s not like the old days where a man stops and takes care of business after causing a wreck. I’m sure glad your ok but I can see the frustration in the loose ends. Accountability on that drivers part is about sad. You did the right thing. You saved your life and maybe his. Don’t usually see dash cams in farm trucks either. Mostly otr trucks. So again. Our Son had a very similar accident here On the farm...long recovery with many injuries. It changes everything in the blink of an eye...God and the angels were watching out, that's for sure.
