Ok 1000 seems pretty close so 1000x.20=200 1000-200=800.

800$ - 80% X - 100% X= (100%x800$) : 80%= 8000%$ : 80% = 1000$. Original price was 1000$. Properties of proportion are very useful in real life.

I can pretty much solve every one of the questions in my short videos mentally. That said, it is always nice to review the concepts, such as long division, because they show up frequently on the test. This afternoon, for example, I'm posting a video that requires you to do long division, and unless you're really good at mental math, you have to work it out the old-fashioned way.
