I'm 30 years old, and I havent had to think about any of this stuff for 13 years at least. On top of that, I have always been terrible in math. I took my ASVAB today, and I got above a 50. Wont know my exact score until my Monday meeting with my recruiter. With all that being said, I want to say a owe Grammar Hero credit for getting my score that high. The way you explain it makes sense. Where as some people explain it in a way, you would need a PHD to understand it 😂. I'm pretty sure if I was able to invest more time in factoring and simplification, my score would probably be higher. Your practice tests were a huge help as well. Thank you, and keep on keeping on. Your content is worth its weight in gold.

I have a question, When doing these word problems how do i determine if its going to be multiplication, division, addition or subtraction ??
@GrammarHero Жыл бұрын
The more you practice, the more you should be able to recognize what operation to use. Likewise, I would caution you against associating keywords with operations, because most tests use the keywords against you. If you can work through the problems in my fractions review playlist and my practice test playlists, you'll be fine on test day. Here they are: Fractions review: kzbin.info/aero/PLhlU-GzAQeG3rQjliSl-ThN_L2lF1iABE Practice tests: kzbin.info/aero/PLhlU-GzAQeG2ete7N8QjR2dDN_CaIH67z Good luck! The test really just covers the basics!

Hi, the question 5 is confusing how it was resolved. I was expecting that we would divide 96 by 1/4 to get the num of pages for the middle book. How come you multiplied that please?

I have a question when you are doing the long division to get a while number are the numbed position different because I thought when you get the number after solving the long division for doing fraction alone it would be the whole number

At 15:38 in my video on fractions, I discuss how to convert from improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa. If you watch that six minute section of the video, it should answer your question. Here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKjdZJSoa7qepZo

i thought for multiplication you multiply straight across so it was 43 over 4 x 4 over 1 = 172 over 4 but instead you did something different, does that mean only when denominator is the same. then thats when you use the straight across method?

Prior to multiplying fractions, I crossed reduced them to make the math a little bit easier. Here is a video on how you can cross reduce fractions: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKGoopqJl7-GjZI
