Some of them a lot of people are not going to like, I've been an army for 8 years now and if any group in the world ever ever deserved a Grammy it is them but they're never going to get one because the Grammys are ran by a certain amount of elites and most of them in the music industry are black! @katieedsallreamy4756 I mean as Far as I know, MAMA is not making a Western MAMA set in the US to award western artists so I would say that's not really a good comparison. Like I can get annoyed at the Grammy's for not giving a Grammy to BTS (They didn't give the Beatles a Grammy until way after the fact as well) but that's way different than making an entirely different branch to cash in on them over seas out of the eyes of their western viewers. By making a whole other event they are acknowledging that Korean artist deserve recognition equivalent to what they are doing now. They just don't want them in the same building.

BTS and good music, dont need the Scammy's. Just understand the US music industry is not inclusive. Look at the segregation of " Urban" music. What is that, but separatism. Because they have ruined the music industry for us, they certainly do not want 75 mil fans demanding air play of Grammy winners, fairly on the radio. They already have the Latin Grammys and there are several categories in the regular Grammys for latin-style music. I think a "K-Pop" category would be too specific and pandering, but they could have a "Global Pop" category, which could include more non-english speaking performers.

The characters have to be licensed to be used for advertising as they are trademarked or copyrighted. So yes the entity that owns them gets paid. I suspect it goes through Hybe or BigHit and they all get a cut, including the members.
