Jesus I'm old. I practically pissed my pants when I saw this game for the first time in front of me running on a fresh PS2 just out the box. Memories of blue cardboard, the smell of brand new electronics warming up as a soon to be familiar fan noise pushes the air around. Watching jaw dropping crisp visuals, sun shafts through trees and haze rising off hot tarmac all recreated on a state of the art early 2000s big flat screen CRT with a back so big it had its own postal code. Golden years. If you never experienced this, I pity you. You'll never see a leap in visual fidelity like that from PS1 to PS2 gen ever again. Never. Diminished returns.

The bygone era won't be forgotten though. Especially when parts of GT3 continues to exist in the later games like GT6 and Sport. This game is one of those that live on for decades no matter what.

I was born in 2004,Never had a console until late 2016,which was a PS2,it was amazing,but when I found Gran Turismo 4 for the first time I was blown away,because to me those graphics could compete with PS3 titles,I played GT4 from then until I got 2 more copies of Gran Turismo 4 and one of Gran Turismo 3 and NFS Prostreet as a gift from my uncle for passing Grade 11,at that time I didn't really like Gran Turismo 3s physics(camera movement) and so on but I decided to give it a chance,because if not for this game we wouldn't have GT4 or the newer games in the series,and I'm so happy I gave it a second chance,this game is addictive,but in a good way,although it was a huge step back from its predecessor,Gran Turismo 2,in terms of Cars and Tracks and Events...the sheer beauty of this 2001 game makes up for it,I recommend anyone picking up this game if you haven't already and giving it a shot,whether through emulation or Native Hardware aka a real PS2,which I am still using to this day because I personally feel it's best to really immerse yourself in a game that came on the system it was meant to be played on,absolutely beautiful game,I honestly wish I was born in the 90s so I can experience the GT series from the start and possibly WHEN GT3 came out,I wasn't born in those days but I can feel what the people who have had the honor to play this game back in the day feel,that nostalgic feeling,and I must say you guys are lucky...shame I was late to the party...but watching this video truly brings tears to my eyes,even tho I've only played this game from 2021 until now,25 February 2023(as of the writing of this comment) I can say that gamers back then we're in awe or this masterpiece of a game,this game even has what I call a "Nice 2000s atmosphere" to it,stay strong out there fellow Gran Turismo fans...

The main reason why we'll never really see the old GT games show up is because of the soundtrack and licensing of the cars and track. That's legitimately it. I think they can get away with the cars and tracks since GT is still ongoing and they still own it for the most part, but almost all of the racing soundtrack would get removed at least if not anything more of it.

@@Christian--- yeah it just feels like a bad project cars or bad asetto Corsa rip-off, and I never thought those games were to great to begin with because they got boring very fast. Although atleast in those game it felt like you where driving something, asetto Corsa was way over the top with my entire desk shaking at like 70-100 km/h and yeah that's not how a car feels at those speeds( it didn't feel realistic like people say) but atleast it felt like I was driving something but in GT sport I dunno the handling is not only unrealistic, it's doesn't even feel like you are driving anything. The main problem is just that the game is incredibly boring and I do feel sorry for people who think it is a good game.

And I mean if you don't lie to your self and do actually like it, your taste is bad for a fact. Just like everyday bro, granturismo sport is the KZbin rewind 2018 of granturismo games, the it's every day bro of music video's. Do appreciate you reading everything though. That's rare on the internet. But like come on how is it a good gave I have tried it again after every update and was like, was I wrong after all is it a good game, and everytime I am like no it's horrible. It's just so boring I don't see how people could like something so boring, it brings literally nothing new to the table, is kind of a combination of everything that could be bad in a racing game, is way to expensive at 60 euro for being like 10% of an actual GT game, ( new they were 60 and now they are like 20). Also the lack of tracks and then especially then lack of good tracks. Also the graphics are a bit sloppy for 2017 or 2018 dunno exactly when it came out again, but it sill looks like a 2010 game at best 2012( considering drive club is from 2013 and looks way better) . Also the lack of cars on top of all the other content missing like an actual offline mode, not a online single player mode that is horrible, then also the lack of a upgrade system, the current one, well I don't think I can even call it an upgrade system. And also a bunch of other stuff but yeah, these are some of the reasons why I don't like it.
