Upgrading to V1.05 works really well, ver 1.00 is just laggy even in the latest RPCS3 build/version And yes it crashes 9 times out of 10 at an end of a race

Yeah it crashes almost all the time for me and i just dont want that. So sense i have the system from way back i went and bought the game got all the updates but one unfortunate circumstance is that my credits were gifted to me. A million cr but in the updates for version 1.22 on my ps3 i didnt get those credits and i can’t use my ps5 controller on ps3 with it because it uses analog controls for gt6 so im forced to use ds3 its all around awful to try and play this game anywhere

Your settings works really nice but unfortunately rpcs3/gt6 will always crash after i finish a race. Edit: Nvm, i fixed it by updating the game version. Though I would like to know whats your version of GT6 currently using? i see the latest version is 01.22 is that the one you currently installed?

As far as I know, Version 1.05 is the most stable, 1.01 has a game breaking bug that almost always crashes the game after a race and everything past 1.05 is kinda funky

Thank you for the info, hopefully in the future someone will make a mod for these games allowing you to complete theme offline or something, either way I was told these games would never be able to run with rpcs3 without major issues, and here we are!

Currently, we already have a performance improvement of 10 to 20% compared to what was shown in this video. Every week, there are more improvements being made to the Gran Turismo franchise in RPCS3. It's possible that in about two months, we will be close to running both games at 60FPS.

in 2016 I have bought used PS3, especially for this game, but it turned out that i have problem to properly patch the game. It dosen't work unpatched, the game gets freezed on some racetrakcs making it unplayable, the whole console needs to be restarted, it freezes completely. And is unavaible to install all of the upadtes, regardeles of which solutions posted on the internet i've tried... So, I've been waiting for about 8 years from this time and... damn, maybe i've finally be able to play this game. Looking forward for this project.

yes, but sometimes, GT5 crash and I need to restart the game, this happens sometimes after few hours of gameplay, and for GT6 ( personnaly ) I have blackscreens only during races, so this is embarrassing, but to answer your question, GT5 runs pretty good

GT5 should run quite well (Especially past 24 hours playtime), but your cpu will run hot GT6 runs ok, but might crash quite often

I know that Mac is not for emulate. On a M1 Pro 16GB of Ram the games runs bellow 30 fps while racing and get stuck after reboot v1.05 Emulator version 0.0.28 I'll try again on a M3 Pro chip, in the future.

Download the updates. If you want your game to be on version 1.05, for example, you need to install all the previous versions first, for example: 1.01 > 1.02 > 1.03 > 1.04 > 1.05. To install them, simply go to the main emulator window > File > Install PKG and choose the folder where the updates are located.

Your CPU has a single-threaded performance that is 16% higher than mine, so expect results with around 5 to 8 FPS higher. Just a reminder that the emulator is being updated with a focus on GT5 and GT6 every day, so even the performance seen in this video may be outdated by now. Currently, I'm getting an average of 34 FPS when not recording anything.

I have a Ryzen 7 3700X with a RTX 2070 Super. I get 50-55fps in GT5 when I start a race and once I passed a few cars I get 60fps. I would say you really should test it out.
