I remember in the old gran turismo's you actually had to do 24 hour races. i would race for 6 hours put it on manager get up early drive another 8 hours or so

GT5 was actually the first and only one I've done a full 24hr in. Surely didn't complete it in one session tho lol. It was near finals and I found myself logging in only a couple hours a day. I think the longest stint i did was 6hrs. That was probably the first. Finished it with a 3hr run. Thank God for being able to save it and come back later. Only way I'd have done it without saves is if I had gotten 2 other buddies to rotate with me. They weren't up for it.

Here's a good recommendation for you. In the beginning of the race, start with wet tyres, then power through the first two laps. From there, Lap 2 will be your In-Lap, and you'll want to gas up and switch to soft compounds. From there, go for another two or three laps, but I recommend Lap 5 being your second In-Lap. You can swap the tyres if you wish, but you'll want to gas up for the final lap. By the final minutes of the race, you'll have to deal with maybe two or three more drivers, but you'll have the race won, no problem! BTW, the car I used? The Mazda LM55 Vision Gran Turismo.

In the GT games, you don't have to apply the breaks 100%. I normally do it at least 50-75% on the breaks. It reduces your chances of spinning out.

I've got a question, how the heck are you so good at racing with limited view? Like in the Audi R8 Le Mans you can't see much.

GTR Touring with all mods, 1008H.P. Ran racing soft at all times, rain or not, pitting every second lap. Last pit stop was with one lap to go so only got half fuel(much faster pit stop). Ran consistent 3:35:00's and won by a minute and a half My experince with rain tires is use then only on downpours(Nurburgring 24)

Mercedes - Benz i didn't buy it like i didn't buy the TS030 toyota, they didn't have enough power. The R18 has less performance points than the R15, and that always came last of the LMP's in GT5. The Mazda 787B is pretty fast for its PP, and the pescarolo hybride and the toyota minolta have to be the fastest outright le mans style prototypes

They really need to bring back the full 24 hour race, but this time, integrate it with B-Spec drivers (simulating driver changes), like they did in GT4.

when i did this race with the mazda 787b stealth model when i took a bit the game stuffed up and changed my front tires without changing the rear and i didnt notice until i had done another lap and the car wouldnt even drive straight

You could of used medium tyres again last out stop has you only had 2 laps left from last pit stop has they lasted you 2 laps, so when you crashed last lap you might of had more time to get back in first. nice driving anyway. anyone know any info when gt is coming to ps4

In gt5 you had to actuallu sit there 24 hours total. I did none of the endurance a-spec races because i could not sit and play for so long. I did however do the 24 hour b-spec races (where you are basically the pit leader for a computer driver) because once you got him in the lead you could just leave him to do the race for you while you slept.

You could've changed your brakes to be front bias so that you save your rear tires and your front tires weren't working as much as they were supposed to.

You wouldve been allot faster if you short shifted its a diesel so the power builds up smoother. My quickest lap in the R18 was 3.32.546

you out drive your tyres on every lap, slow down a little.. ever heard the saying "win a race in the slowest time possible"? you were ahead last lap with a gap and you were driving absolutely flat, 100% braking, full out on every corner, you lost yourself the win, need to pay attention.

Forza is repetitive as fuck. I have the entire Forza series (Except 5) and the entire GT series and I find GT to be much better. Yes, they may be more events but Forza has a low amount of cars compared to GT and I enjoy GT more because of the range of events. It's not just bowling on TopGear and driving around a track there is much more. Considering that GT is only version 1.03 at the minute. and I enjoy it more Forza should be worried. I expect you to come with frequent mentions such as low damage, poor AI, no cockpit in a lot of the vehicles, similar vehicle list etc. But I stand on GT more than Forza. Forza is a great series don't get me wrong but it doesn't give the appeal to me that GT has given me throughout the series. Anyway, sorry for the long reply.
