In March 1998, Subaru introduced the Version 22B-STi, based on the WRX coupe STi Version IV. The "22" in its name signified engine size, a 2.2-liter flat-4. With a larger turbo, this boxer pumped out 276 HP and 267.6 ft-lb of torque, making it as fast as many European sports cars costing twice as much. But the car's biggest draw was its styling that featured wide-body fenders, making it look very similar to the WRC race car. The 22B's production was limited to 400 units, but all of them were snatched up in a matter of months, despite a price tag of 5 million yen or about $50,000. Not long after the 22B, Subaru took the covers off the STi Version V in September 1998. In addition to new aerodynamic parts on the exterior, the new STi received a new sport ABS to help stopping power. In September 1999, the STi Version VI appeared featuring only modest changes that included a new front under spoiler, a reshaped rear spoiler and redesigned 16-in. alloy wheels. The competition model, the RA, came complete with mirror shells on the doors and sheeted rear quarter panels, designed to save weight. The STi Version VI marked the end of the GC-platform. What made this car especially noteworthy was that in its eight-year span, the WRX's body style stayed generally constant, staying true to the original.

With the second generation Celica appearing in 1977, there was a range-topping model called the Celica XX, equipped with an inline-6 cylinder engine and a 'Liftback' body. July 1981 was when this XX received a full model change. It is said that the XX name was given to rival the popularity of the Nissan Fairlady Z. The design of the new XX was cutting edge, based on linear motifs. It brings to mind images of Lotus cars of the day, who had a co-operative relationship with Toyota at the time. The body was 183.4 inches long, with a width of 66.3 inches, that's 8.2 inches longer and 0.7 inches wider than the previous model. Though there were parts common with the previous Celica, it was made distinctive with retractable headlights, giving it the appearance of a longer nosed, short deck design. The interior was modern, based on linear motifs as well. The seats were an adjustable sport type, and the entire car had a sporty and luxurious feel to it. The engine was only available in an inline-6. At first, there was a 2.0-litre SOHC from the Mark II, and a 2.8-litre DOHC from the Soarer. The 2.0-litre produced 133 BHP, and the 2.8-litre produced 168 BHP. For the suspension, the front utilised struts, and the rear semi-trailing arms. This set-up was shared with the Soarer, but was tuned for more controllability. The XX gained in appeal with new engines that were added at every minor change. First, a 143 BHP 2.0-litre SOHC turbo was introduced in 1982, and later a 158 BHP 2.0-litre DOHC. Additionally in 1983, the power was raised to 158 BHP for the turbo model by utilising an intercooler. The XX continued to be produced even after the base Celica went through a full model change in 1986, and was popular as Toyota's high class GT car.

The Garaiya is a sports car developed by Autobacs Sportscar Laboratory, a Japanese company that has its roots in the car-care/customization business. The people at ASL began taking orders for the car after unveiling it in December 2001, but before any cars were delivered to customers, they announced their plans to enter it in the GT300 class of the 2003 All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC). The car sported one of the prettiest body styles in Japan, reminiscent of something Italian. The race car was built on a steel tube-frame chassis. The body panels were composed of carbon fiber. The street version was powered by Nissan's SR20VE, a 2.0-liter inline-4. The race car received the SR20VET, a turbocharged version of the same powerplant. Output was right around 296 HP. Aftermarket company, A'PEXi, oversaw the car's development. Before the Garaiya had even run its first race, A'PEXi had to relocate the car's radiator because it didn't comply with JGTC rules. During the season, they had to make the drastic change of moving the radiator up front. Still, all the necessary changes were performed, and the Garaiya shined on the race track. Drivers for the 2003 season, Morio Nitta and Shinichi Takagi, successfully finished the Garaiya's maiden race. Although their season ended without a win, the little svelte sports car made a big impact in its debut season.

Since the announcement of its revival in 2001, the GT-R kept car fans around the world on edge until it finally debuted in 2007. In the end, the platform turned out to be a dedicated design created from scratch, no longer an evolution model based on the Skyline coupe. The VR38DETT, the most powerful engine in Japanese car history, is a 3.8L twin turbo producing 473 HP. The power is transmitted to the ground through a trans-axle layout drive system, which optimizes the front to rear weight distribution by unifying the transmission with the rear differential. The front wheels are driven by a drive shaft that returns the power output back to the front of the car. The transmission itself is a 6-speed DCT, which allows highly efficient power transfer and quick gear shifts. Carbon composites and aluminum die cast materials are strategically placed, and even the aerodynamic take into account front/rear balance. Using feedback gained from racing technology, everything was focused towards the pursuit of speed. The only thing that does not coincide with going fast is the 4-seater body, but this is a heritage of the GT-R that goes back even further than the 4WD system. This revolutionary supercar had a major effect to the Nissan manufacturing organization as well. By introducing special craftsmanship in what is called the Takumi (artisan/craftsman) line, they maintained a precision production line but kept flexibility in their production structure. This system not only compensates for increases or decreases in production quantity, but also allows the addition of new, anniversary, or limited edition models, and widens the possibilities for the GT-R.

"Making its first appearance in the D1 Grand Prix drift competition in 2003, this HKS car was the company's second Silvia transformed into a "drift" car. The experience gained from HKS's first effort, a car that had competed for a year and a half, was incorporated into this purpose-built machine..." Honestly, that should be a meme hahahahah

Once upon a time, in the mid-1980s, BMW's engineers embarked on a mission to create a car that would dominate the world of motorsports. They knew they needed something special, a car that could win races but also be driven on the streets. This dream led to the birth of the BMW M3. The Birth of a Legend (E30: 1986-1991) In 1986, the very first M3, known as the E30, rolled onto the scene. It was a boxy, fierce little machine with a 2.3-liter engine that roared with 192 horsepower. The engineers designed it to be light and agile, with flared fenders and a rear spoiler that screamed "race car." This M3 quickly became a legend on the track and in the hearts of car enthusiasts. Growing Up (E36: 1992-1999) As the 90s dawned, the M3 grew up into its second generation, the E36. Launched in 1992, this M3 was sleeker and more refined. Under the hood, it initially housed a 3.0-liter engine with 240 horsepower, later upgraded to a 3.2-liter with up to 321 horsepower in Europe. It was powerful, yet still offered the everyday comfort of a BMW. This blend of performance and sophistication broadened its appeal, making it a favorite among car lovers. Hitting Its Stride (E46: 2000-2006) Entering the new millennium, the M3 evolved into its third generation, the E46. Introduced in 2000, it featured a high-revving 3.2-liter inline-six engine with 333 horsepower. The E46 was a masterclass in balance and handling, a car that could dance through corners with grace. It was offered as both a coupe and a convertible, allowing drivers to enjoy the open road in style. Many considered this M3 to be the pinnacle of driving pleasure. A Bold New Direction (E90/E92/E93: 2007-2013) In 2007, the M3 took a bold new direction with its fourth generation, known as the E90 (sedan), E92 (coupe), and E93 (convertible). This time, BMW gave it a roaring 4.0-liter V8 engine with 414 horsepower. The car looked aggressive, sounded like a beast, and moved with incredible speed. Though it was heavier than its predecessors, it brought a new level of power and presence to the M3 lineage. Turbocharged Power (F80: 2014-2018) By 2014, the M3 had entered its fifth generation, the F80. This model returned to its roots with a 3.0-liter inline-six engine, but with a modern twist: twin turbochargers. This setup produced 425 horsepower, making it incredibly fast and responsive. This M3 was only available as a sedan; its coupe and convertible siblings were now branded as the M4. The F80 combined cutting-edge technology with raw power, continuing the M3's tradition of excellence. The Modern Marvel (G80: 2020-Present) The latest chapter in the M3 story began in 2020 with the G80 generation. This modern marvel features a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine, pushing up to 503 horsepower in the Competition model. Its design is bold and controversial, with a large kidney grille that grabs attention. The G80 is packed with advanced technology and is available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, ensuring it can handle any driving condition. And so, the story of the BMW M3 continues, with each generation building on the legacy of those that came before. It's a tale of relentless innovation, passion for performance, and a love for the pure joy of driving. The M3 remains a symbol of what a sports sedan can be, inspiring enthusiasts and racers alike.

You're most welcome! It was bugging me too, so I figured I might as well take it into my own hands. Unfortunately, ever since the online servers shut down, GT6 just isn't the same imo. The career mode is alright, but... I don't know. It just doesn't feel the same as the older GTs' career modes to me.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 was the fastest and most expensive street-legal production car in the world, with a proven top speed of over 400 km/h (407 km/h or 253 mph) and a base price of $1,700,000. It reached full production in September 2005. The car is built by Volkswagen AG subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS and is sold under the legendary Bugatti marque. It is named after racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1939 while racing for the original Bugatti firm. The design of Veyron ressembles the classic Bugatti models such as the Type 35. Bugatti once again claimed the land speed record for production cars on July 4, 2010 with the Veyron Super Sport prototype. At the hands of Bugatti test driver Pierre Henri Raphanel, the Super Sport managed runs of 265.9 and 269.8 mph for an average terminal velocity of 267.81 mph on Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessien track. The much awaited 'super-Veyron' sees the car's power output jump from 987 bhp to 1183 bhp and torque from 1250 to 1500 N·m. According to Bugatti, though, production models will be electronically limited to 257.9 mph to protect the tires.

Known in Japan as the "Hachi-Roku" (Eight-Six), the popularity of the AE86 Levin/Trueno platform has not diminished in the more than 25 years since it first appeared. And the Trueno here is of special interest - it is owned by Shuichi Shigeno, the author of "Initial D", a very popular comic book series in Japan in which the AE86 plays a pivotal role. While chassis rigidity was improved by beefing up some body panels in key areas, the car's overall stock curb weight was reduced by about 100 kg, thanks to installing a carbon composite hood in place of the much heavier stock unit. The AE86 enjoyed a long and varied tuning history, from carburetor conversions to superchargers to turbo kits. The method chosen for our car is perhaps the most common of AE86 upgrades: conversion to a 4-barrel throttle body. Further upgrades like high-compression pistons and a high-lift camshaft helped bring out the famous engine's character even more, imparting it with an exciting power curve where engine response felt sharp and the torque delivered generously with increasing revs. A powerful MoTeC engine control unit was utilized for superior control, enabling the engine to attain a 207 HP maximum output, which is very close to the physical limits under normally aspirated tune. The exhaust system made use of an HKS manifold and Trust muffler to extract the most performance from the engine...plus it sounded really nice.
