Gran Turismo 7 but I spent $2,500,000 on a Skyline Racecar

The Pennzoil Skyline from GT2 IS the car that got me to love Japanese race cars and JGTC. Ever since I first drove it and even now, 16 years later, the Skyline, along with most of the GT500 cars from the later part of the 1990s are some of my favourite cars ever.

Respect, i started to dislike the jdm cars over the years with so many new fanbows drueling over them just because its already popular without knowing its history. I prefer race cars over normal cars so maybe i just dont understand jdm tuner cars. My favorite jdm race cars from the 90s is the 1995 lemans winning nsx gt2 and the 1998 version of this car with its weird "double wing".

@@zip3704 Broooo I love the GT2 NSX, it's one of my favourite cars of all time. The first gen NSX in general is (the flip up lights models). Just the overall history behind Japanese race cars is so interesting.

@@jurekgadzinowski2895 Yeah, thank you for that... trivial explanation. Also, the first NSX-R '92 had pop up headlights. The later facelift models had normal headlights. It was the exact point behind the "facelift" design.

GT7 has the GT500 iteration of the Supra, then the Skyline, now it just needs the first generation NA1 NSX, not talking about the 2008 and 2016 Super GT models (the Castrol Mugen NSX a.k.a. the champion car from the 2000 JGTC season)

I believe it is in the game, we just couldn’t acquire it. If you play custom gr.2 races, you will see ai driving them.

So did I... No regrets 😁😁😁. Loved the Skyline since the 80's. Here in South Africa we only got the r30 and r31 shapes. With the awesome 2.8l and the "stoveplate" brake lights.

Dont forget to look at the Torque Figures as well when choosing your upgraded Turbocharger in GT7.. The Mid-RPM Turbo had 1,040Nm The High-RPM Turbo had 910Nm GIMMIE DEM NEWTON METRES BOOOIIIII

Hey Theo you can change the car while you’re still in the track under the Settings so you don’t have to go back to the Map menu.

Very nice car, very slightly short shift (90% shift bar) and seems nice of fuel saving races. Nice torque all thru midrange. *PS* Always go to Garage > Car Settings > ECU Output > And you find the powerband both torque and horsepower, no excuse to not know where to shift now!

I got a hellcat engine from a roulette and the only car compatible with the engine is the '70 challenger so when I saw it in legend dealership I installed the engine and now it's a beast

Your wheel camber is WAAAY too high,drop it to 0.6/0.7 on the front and a wee bit more on the rear and you will notice that it turns better and is much more stable.

It's such an odd yet very warm feeling when you see special cars from previous GT games in new games. Nostalgia hits really hard. I love this car since GT2, it helped me a lot.

hey theo! hope you read this. big fan! been watching all your gt7 streams and vids, and it's noticeable that you have some struggle with racing cars when tire and fuel consumption is on. I HAD IT TOO! the last gt game I played was on ps1 and since then I've played mainly played nfs since i was a kid just looking for joy while playing... a very friendly tipo I got for you, since you love skylines, buy a gtr nismo gt500 gr2 ITS A BEEEEEAST! with racing hards you don't ever need to switch if its dry, if raining switch to intermeds, adjust fuel map to 6 and you wont need to pit in any 30min events like Le mans or sardgna. very easy to drive, no adjustments at all, just some ballasts to cap it on 800pp. another good drive is the NSX concept gr2, same deal, japanese boy as well, no pitstop either. won all the endurance events with these 2 boys and never drove street cars again! PEACE

I have the gt500 and it's a beast. Just quick tip when u want to change the car in a time trial u can go on settings and change car when u are on the menu of the time trial

You need to take that thing to the 1 hour 800pp Spa race, it is stunning and good money too. Maybe find a better tune first though lol.

Theo, you can change cars in time trial without going back to the track selection menu, you just need to select settings and a garage icon will appear

You understeer and oversteer more in GT games mainly cuz you don't often drive at these high speeds on real streets. If you drive fast and also accelerate and brake as rapidly in real life you would probably slide just as often as ingame.

And then it would be amazing. Back in 99, it was truly the absolute peak of japanese automotive history. Which is why it came to everyone's surprise, even Toyota's, when the Castrol Tom's Supra dethroned the ultimate Godzilla & won.

i sold the GT500 because its a garbage RB26, idk what they did to that engine but it just doesnt put enough power down where its needed to steadily drift that thing. same sort of thing with the Amuse S2000, like doesnt have ower steering or some shit just straightens out when you try to transition, its annoying.

I would love to get a steering wheel driving setup but the quality ones are very expensive. Is Gran Turismo 7 playable with a PS5 Dual Sense Controller? GT7 will be my first Gran Turismo game. I’ve recently considered simulation racers since they have taken over arcade racers. On PlayStation 5 I have Need For Speed Heat, Need For Speed Unbound, Wreckfest, and EA Sports WRC. I love them all. I figured since I have a PS5 I should at least try the exclusive racer on PlayStation. I just hope you can play Gran Turismo 7 on a controller. If anyone has any comments or opinions on it I would really appreciate it. It would be very helpful. Thanks!

hey man ive just watched the tutorial with the tomahawk and the tokyo race to make a lot of money, i did exactly the same things you did in the video but my car is still at 1200PP even if ive copied all the numbers for the gears, hard tyres, ECU modified, power restrictor downed but i can’t reach 600PP.
