That double overtake into Turn 1 on the final lap is the most satisfying feeling I ever had throughout Gran Turismo especially when you have drivers around you trust knowing what overtaking move you prefer to pull off.

I agree with you about the slipstream and my point of view comes from doing interlagos in the GR3 cars race B. You spend all this time and finesse in the middle section and you have drivers that catch up to you in the straightaway because they just catch that little bit of a slipstream and then you have a less skilled player tailgating you through the middle section sometimes bumping or knocking you out of place or being a nuisance. I will say though it's made me hustle even faster through the middle section to get as far away as possible from all those drivers lol.

My days internet excuses are the best. Forget all the best drivers in the world reside on gt7 🤣 slip stream keeps the racing close and stops you driving around on your own bored if you wanted real racing get a car and go to a race track 😂

@mynamegeoff7135 generally I'm in agreement, the issue I have is the B rated with SRA who catches up in the slipstream and breaks too late and causes a bowling ball hitting pins reaction but yeah I mean if you're good enough to be bored racing way ahead of everybody than the slipstream thing really has a minimal effect but when you're better but not dominantly better these bastards catch up and are so unpredictable it's like a kamikaze in the midfield lol.

Honestly, I have always used the Alfa Romeo since before patch 1.55 The thing PD messed up was making the Alfa Romeo the new Lamborghini. They just had to buff the Alfa and keep the Lamborghini as it was. We would have had a fair battle between both cars, because I noticed that now I can complete the race in 20:35 minutes, which was almost the same the Lamborghini could do before the patch. Its such a shame, because it was frustrating but satisfying beating drivers with having a slower car, now the Alfa Romeo is the new meta

Today I met Kimi-Vellocini in a Driverraring D lobby, he introduced himself as a legend, the first corner he rammed everyone abd the last rounds everyone was f*cked up and it was war everywhere…

I think it was better before the update with more variable strategy happening like you said, with early or late pitstops viable. Now with the Alfa the meta everyone is boxing in the middle and changing tyres. I also think the custom slipstream should be toned down a bit. In the lower lobbies as it is, custom slipstream is helpful to keep the races close for much longer.

Ive enjoyed rhis combo for sure. Agree on the slipstream as its almost impossible to break away from a slightly slower driver. Equally if you get cut off from a group or cant find someone to work with, you are scuppered.

Personal opinion, but I don't think daily C is as fun after the update. Mainly because of how hard I find the AR-155 is to handle when it comes to understeer

If Stroll and Zhou survive a standing start in Singapore then everyone else can. Standing starts make for close racing although the slipstream is stronger than DRS on a McLaren. I guess you can't have everything.

I was doing the race from the back with the lambo without changing tyres and getting good results. After the update i changed to the alfa. The update Just changed the car imo. It was a great race as almost always in gr4 and is still a great race After the update. As for the grid start, its a nice change. They should keep it from time to time. The slip stream I agree with you. Its good for the racing but should get a little bit less strong.

I’d argue there is less strategy choice now, before both no tyre change and tyre change were viable with wider options for lap to pit, but I still think it’s a solid race no matter before or after 👍

@@martinh888 thanks Martin yes I agree just feel slightly weaker slip to reward the fastest and etc as for example in the Alfa Race Miro was clearly the fastest but ended up 4th I think purely because final straight slip.

Smashing stuff! I agree with you, as a spectator I think the extra strong slipstream makes the racing a bit artificial, it pretty much destroys any hope of people pulling away on their own at the front, or catching up if they're fighting from the back
