I was completely caught off guard by it's straight line performance when I first drove it. It's surprisingly quick on the straights, atleast it feels like it to me. But at the same time I upgraded it a good bit pretty early on before I drove the faster vehicles.

I completely agree with the way games are today, with the grind for many games today they act like people don’t have lives outside of gaming and can spend hundreds of hours on their 1 game on top of playing other games for hundreds of hours with work and family affairs.

I love the GT Black series, it’s one of my favourite cars to drive in the game … I tuned mine into a GR.3 killer, it’s a 459kmph monster that has some good handling, nowhere near the handling of a GR. 3 race car, but still an absolute hoot to drive … I’ve maxed out and tuned an R32 GTR, 911 930 turbo and the 911 GT1, and I find the GT Black series the fastest and best around a track … Maybe fool around with the tune a bit, you’ll find the perfect balance

The car tends to not steer while breaking i tried brake and steer at the same time for keeps going stright not turning which direction

@@kevingame3198 The only way you can brake while turning is by using trail-braking or by lightly tapping the brakes closer to the apex. Otherwise, always brake in a straight line

I absolutely love this car, mine already have 600km on the clock, I did a couple of mods, like sport soft tires, upgrade aero for the front, also upgraded discs and pad and called a day, ballistic car around nurb, suzuka, major GP circuits... laguna seca for an Amg GT black series, is like a karting indor for a 125cc shifter kart...

Yeah, the car handles great. Only thing that sucked was the brakes, so I slapped some carbon ceramics on there and called it a day.

I actually really enjoy this car. I think it's the best stock experience, especially on the nord. Also why not get into gyroscope steering? It is much better in terms of control than using the left stick. I think it's worth putting time into gyro steering as it makes the game much more immersive

I like to do nurburgring laps in the high performance road cars and it's strange how the lap times compare considering since I'm pretty sure I heard kaz say they were similar in a trailer video. Yes it's only a video game I guess but the AMG GTS black series is way slower in the game than it is in real life. It managed a time of 6 mins and 52 secs in real life and an even faster time. In the game I managed 7 mins and 4 seconds lap, I like to consider myself a pretty skilled player and I'd hard pressed to get it much faster. This was a stock car with ss tyres. Then you have cars like the LP640 which wipes the floor with the carrera GT in the game and was only 7 seconds slower than the 2017 ford GT that I tested. Yes like I said its only a game but the physics are way off in some cases.

I dunno about you. The problem is likely to do with manual transmissions (Carrera GT) and of course... traction. The RWD cars in this game, especially the power hungry ones are really hard to drive. But if you nail them throttle applications on corner exits, you are faster than 4WD of the same tier. You are just not as consistent with the lap times, and this also does apply with real life. In both a track laptime and obviously, in drag races, AWD cars always get consistent times. RWD cars on the other hand are all over the place.

I think the tires are enough to make a difference here. They set the record using Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 MO tires, which are super expensive and I think have much better performance than whatever stock sport tires are in this game. Maybe hard racing would be a better comparison? Also, note that their record run was made using a variable traction control system, which is a factory setting, but that they could actively control throughout the lap, depending on the sector.

@@chrisd6736 Perhaps PD should introduce a new extreme sports tyre if this is the case, I may actually buy some RH tyres for it and see how it performs. But I also think its a physics problem, the LP640 is a heavy 4WD car, yet doesn't feel like one. It seems to negotiate corners like a lighter RWD car but is able to apply the power like a 4WD. The aventador SV in contrast feels as you would expect, try to be aggressive in the corners and it will 4 wheel drift into the sandpit. The ford GT and its race car version are also peculiar, the aero is clearly capable of allowing the car to corner at high speeds but the backend seems to snap and bite for no reason which makes them very unstable in high speed corners. The whole point of having such aero is that it is the opposite. I had the same problem with the peugeot 908 race car.

But I’ve been playing GT for a long ass time and I’m actually pretty surprised how similar the cars perform compared to real life. In any case it’s fun to compare. I’m interested to see what time you can get with racing tires. I’ll try as well sometime next week when I have time to play.

I disagree. On wheel this car feels amazing, a lot of grip, and you can use throttle so early like on GT3 car. BTW you can buy front lip and adjust front downforce, like on real black series car.

They’ve really not done this car justice. This is or was the fastest car round the Nurburgring one of the best handling cars in the world, yet GT7 made it feel like a boat round corners? A car literally designed to go round corners and they’ve somehow decided they’d make it handle bad. What a joke.

I despise the money driven merry go rounds these gaming studios are on nowadays, for the first time since I started gaming as a kid, I'm starting to lose any form of hope for these things anymore. Na it's BOAT. BOAT is for cars that aren't worth buying while DARC is for underrated cars. I personally don't think this falls into either. Sure he said he doesn't like the car and it gave him a bad first impression but judging by the comments section it's not "better off avoiding". I'm still thinking of getting the GTR because I also hate the looks of the Black Series (far cry from the CLK and SL days), but compared to a duplicate R8 V10 which is 35 mph slower from GT6? lol.

That thing is trash stock. All it does is spin its tires. I had to tune the heck out of it to take out the tale snap and wheel spin. Now tuned, and when u get the diff dialed in, ballast in place and suspension tuned. It's godly stable. But, when I first got it, I was so annoyed.
