The resolution loss and AA loss is exactly why I dislike this new update and there is no way to play it as prior the update in 4K 120fps. Btw why don’t you try playing with motion sense instead of the stick. Its really good and similar like playing with a wheel.

You have to try it, its way better then playing with the analog stick. Sometimes I’m wondering why are so many people still playing GT with analog stick when it already supports motion sense since GT Sport. I still see many videos with fake slow wheel animations in the cockpit view which means that the person is playing with the stick. With motion sense the wheel animations are looking nicer and more natural, similar like with a wheel. Cockpit wheel animations gives it away if you are playing on a stick, motion sense or a wheel. When i see these comments...i realize how bad peoples monitors and tvs are. I cant see a difference....yea no not on your cardboard box tv. I literally play the game in 4k with raytracing with vrr and i get about 60-80 frames. Its not the pro...its your other stuff people.

Polyphony just added the LS7 from the BRZ drift car to the Volvo 240 Estate. Now you can build a proper drift or high speed wagon. The Evo VIII also gets the BRZ engine. With the drag race spec rear wing and no widebody kit installed, it can reach 270mph.

The pro has genuine improvements but the problem is that most games don’t need the upgrade. But there are ABSOLUTELY games where the difference is NIGHT AND DAY. GT7 may not be one but games like FF7 Rebirth benefit greatly

The clarity in VR is much improved and worth a video, I think. I tried it when I got my PS5 pro and it was immediately better. After the patch it’s clearer yet again. I’m happy with whatever magic PD cast here. Also, the Mercedes 196R is actually worth the $20m.

I opted for the same settings. You can clearly see it in your garage when watching the inside of your car. The dash is sharper and the noise is far less but RT is obviously still active. It won't be in cockpit view in the race though with PSSR off. I'm courious what Digital Foundry has to say. For me when I'm playing 2D I just want the 3rd person RT glory. In cockpit I drive in VR anyway where there is no RT anyway (no RT in VR obviously).

I think gt7 had the same issue that ac6 has on console, and that’s the games already look pretty good to where sacrificing fps for rtx is just not worth it

Thats not the issue, the issue is its a racing game, and only ray tracing u get is wet road, and reflection on car so especially in cockpit view, its not worth sacrificing fps, but luckily here if u have vrr and 120 fps enabled, u can have ray tracing and 4k at 100+ fps so u get everything for no sacrifices pretty much. For other games that have free roaming or u can walk around, ray tracing is a night and day difference and always worth it no matter how good the game already looks

Keep pssr on, prioritize graphics and keep 120 mode enabled, assuming you have a vrr display this is the best way. Everyone has their opinions and taste but i tested each mode and played vr on an lg oled and i was happy with it

The best sharpest settings I have found to be prioritize framerate with 120hz and PSSR off, see for your self (especially the details seen on the inside and badges show way less artefacts).

I have the PS5 Pro, and GT7, and for me the game is much more crisp, and smooth with the ray tracing prioritized, and PSSR turn on at 120Hz than the game was prior to the update. I'm going to assume people are going to have different results based on the screens they are using. I'm not using a super expensive TV. I have a 2 year old Vizio 4K M Series TV. I'm not going to say that the difference is worth the additional $300 for most people, but for me who has a second PS5 setup with a rig for a wheel and dedicated TV I'm happy with it. If you have PSVR2 the quality also improved and very smooth. I would recommend getting the PS5 pro if you spend a significant amount of time playing GT7

What they mean by disabling RT in cockpit view is literally the RT inside the cockpit. In RT mode with PSSR you have a raytraced cockpit.

idk if I'm blind or something but I'm not noticing any artifacts on my side, and I'm saying that as I'm playing like 1m from a 55" LG B4 Oled TV. But the anti-aliasing is better and thats the first thing I noticed, when using the standard camera for racing (the one with the bonnet visible) before the update you could easily see some jagged edges on your car, now it's completely gone (I was playing in 120hz mode with focus resoltion selected). I haven't had much time to try it for longer yet, but mine first impression was really good.

@@spiderenigma2803 GT3RS is MUCH faster on track. It’s designed purely for the track. A Turbo S is a very high power, Grand Tourer with creature comforts. The Turbo S will beat a GT3RS in a straight line and that’s about it. The GT3RS is much lighter and has much more downforce. GT3RS 992 at Nurburgring - 6 min 49 sec lap, Turbo S 992 at Nurburgring - 7 min 17 sec lap. The more you know.

The thing about 911 Turbo/s you put your foot down to have fun and BAM! already doing 3120842. there's a big argument about how a 911 (without the S either) is all you need, or Carrera 4, still fast but can be enjoyed to full potential. Nick Murray on youtube really convinced me, he's 911 enjoyer that reviews a lot of them (on a small scale, 1 man reviews and edits), always reminds me of this point, and you also probably save like 150k lol. He's the reason why I love the 911T model and idea behind it

As not shown in this video, and im not trying to justify the Pros price, but there is ray tracing inside thebcars as well. Its a huge difference actually when you drive underneath well lit areas in the dark. It projects the lighting more realistically. And if you saw it compared to the base, the base PS5 has none of those lights moving across your dash and is sometimes way darker. Also, your cluster/gauge lights actually light up the bezel around it. Ive noticed ray tracing even in the rain on the tracks. Its a bit more than what is shown in this video. Again. I won't even have one, and atill can't dexide if I want one yet, but im not trying to justify getting one. Just mentioning that there are some very noticeable differences with the lighting at night when driving around lights.

It's still too early for raytracing in anything that has less than 2000$ gpu I wish this gen focused on maxed out raster 1440p + 144 fps instead of all this bs but gamedevs barely can make games that maintain 30fps worse than a super nintendo or a sega mega drive/genesis mind you those consoles ran games at 60fps most of the time back in 80s 90s.
