The origin of the American obsession with outfitting a building-sized engine into a sandwagon.
@mrspandel5737Ай бұрын
Believe it or not the idea was invented by the british. Allard was making a range of sports and race cars powered by Ford, Cadillac or Chrysler V8s in the late 40s and early 50s. And even before that in the 1930s there was stuff like the Railton which had 8 cylinder Hudson engines.

Americans love big cc cross-plane crank engines. They love torque and so do we. ❤
@fossilfueled27Ай бұрын
To be fair though - who doesn't love a 900kg shoebox with a 7 litre V8?
@SunTingWongАй бұрын
@@mrspandel5737Because it wasn’t… Americans put American V8’s in British cars. In America 😂

Really love watching these and chuckling to the occational faint road rage :D

I am so stoked you did this. I used this series to try to get me the basics of how I tried to take this car. Haven’t made it through the video or compared my setup yet, but super excited to “compare notes”
@fossilfueled27Ай бұрын
Let me know how it compares :)

Glad to blow the dust off. I thought it was only good for popping wheelies. I did one of my best times on Sarth. Was able to recover from my heavy foot. Just posted a livery that gives you credit for saving a monster.

Despite the 427 being the big boy Cobra I've always liked the smaller 289 more, especially in its hardtop Competition form.
@fossilfueled27Ай бұрын
The hardtop does look amazing. In my ideal world I'd have the hardtop, with the chrome grill, but the 427 arch/fender flares.
@kspectre21Ай бұрын
@fossilfueled27 yea the wide arches really make the car look so much better. The lower spec models kinda naked without them unless painted over with a livery. Some aftermarket companies have built a detachable Fastback Style hardtop for 427 kits which looks absolutely gorgeous. It just flows so much better than the factory hardtops installed to the aforementioned 289 Competition models.

Ive already asked it but id love to see the tvr, car is quite unruly, took me some time to tune
@fossilfueled27Ай бұрын
It'll be coming soon, just not sure when. Ford Sierra's next, possibly Testarossa after that.
@EeroSoralahtiАй бұрын
Thanks for this tune; this is one of my favorite cars, and will definitely try this as you've ended up with a very different tune than I. Anyway: to complement the table where you compare the tunes to previous cars, would it be possible to add a time vs. PP-rating - scatterplot graph? This would help see which cars stand out as fast/slow compared to their ratings.

Could I request a video on the C7 ZR-1? The straight line speed is incredible, but the handling out of the box is atrocious. Stiffening everything helps a bit, but even with all aero bits, it is a twitchy mess that loves to oversteer at scary speeds. It’s a polar opposite to the C6, which handles great with a little ride height adjustment and the usual stiffening.
@fossilfueled27Ай бұрын
Weirdly I found the C7 to be one of the best. I may cover it, but it'll probably be a while, since there are other cars (mainly engine swaps) that're getting more requests.

E30 v8 will be interesting since many did this also in real life despite with different engine

Plans on BMW E30 Suzuki V8 swap tune?
@fossilfueled27Ай бұрын
I'll be covering most of the swaps sooner or later. Anything that gets more mentions in the comments will probably be covered sooner. So at the moment my most requested cars are: Ford Sierra Ferrari Testarossa E30 V8 swap Viper Chiron Swap '69 Camaro

awesome thanks man keep up the good work and the 190E tune kinda works on the E30 lol
