It's been a while since I've uploaded some adverts, so here's the three ad breaks from a broadcast of the 1986 box office hit "Top Gun", the movie that cemented Tom Cruise as one of the world's top actors. If anyone has a TX date I'd greatly appreciate it.
Ad Break 1:
Irn-Bru (a shortened edit of the classic "Made in Scotland from Girders" ad)
Chanel L'Égoiste eau de toilette
Heineken
Lloyds Bank
KP Frisps
Sunday Mirror
Short trailer for "Damien: Omen 2", voiced by Jim Pope
Ad Break 2:
Tesco (the long-running saga with Dudley Moore on the search for the best chickens continues with him careening down a hill in a vineyard and ending up in hospital and liking the grapes he is given)
Royal Bank of Scotland
Peugeot 405 (wonder if this gets blocked)
Sunday Correspondent (a short-lived paper, the early 90's "New Day")
Oil of Ulay
Tesco (with Dudley Moore trying to escape the hospital)
Short trailer for "Coasting" with Peter Howitt, voiced by Beverley Ashworth.
Ad Break 3:
British Satellite Broadcasting
Bourjois cosmetics
Castella Classic cigars (with fish who are Morecambe & Wise fans it seems - if you know about the duo you'll get the reference)
Sunday Correspondent (this time with Jools Holland of Squeeze)
Swinton Insurance (featuring Lady Penelope and Parker from "Thunderbirds")
Amstrad Fax
Burton's Wagon Wheels
BUPA
Guinness (with two Rutger Hauers)
Short trailer for "Boon", voiced by Jim Pope.
