For those 5 people like me who play or want to play Ferry, her attacks do more damage if the edge of the whip hits. You can read about this in the Lyria journal on the "Tips" tab. Also when you are far on the mastery system, you unlock a parry if you time correctly the end of your charged X attack (you also have this same thing on Narmaya and maybe on some other characters but i don't know)

so she's a tipper character? for an example Marth in Super Smash Bros. is a character who's sword does more damage at the tip than along the blade.

@@ColorMeOblong Yup, its just like that. I tested on the training room and it actually works like this. So if you're playing her, its better do be aware of your range before attacking if you want to be optimal

I love playing Ferry , but I find her issue being that her special attack requires you to be close to the opponent while her charged attack requires you to be far away , now I'm conflicted because she doesn't even have a gap closer , and sometimes I just use her Special to send the pets forward for a Range attack that I would otherwise not be able to hit.

@@enchantinghealer6744 I actually don't have this problem... I use lv 15 Dodge increase, so i just dodge away or close the enemies to get in range. Also, my ferry have the damage cap on max and i can reach this damage, so the range for the charge and normal attack don't increase for me. But yeah, i totally see your point, she needs a very specific gameplan to work properly

There’s something I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere on youtube, but with Gran/Djeeta you can spam multiple lv 4 arts skills before it actually resets. Also, Zeta’s looping combo can be infinite. It just stops its damage increase after 3 loops, but if you have combo booster it’ll just keep increasing.

The Gran arts lvl skill spam is literally in the tutorial, the game already told the player so people just don't bother telling it.

right when the attack hits, you see a hit marker, that marker was the timing. So it is basically right as the attack hits that is the timing. Do Notice that as the combo goes on, you might get closer to the target, and thus the hit lands earlier and earlier. It is very much a feel thing, and the target dummy is your friend. @@Truth-Freedom-Justice

@@Truth-Freedom-Justice allnames explained it pretty well. I’ve never used the actual marker it shows, just try to press it right as you contact the enemy. You can use one of her unique sigil’s to get more used to it, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you get the double unique one from Siero.

With zeta, u can loop her aerial dives an infinite amount of times actually (well nearly). It can only really end when the enemy jumps too far, u use the finisher, get hit while doing the loops or u initiate a link attack.

@@Truth-Freedom-Justice the light shines as soon as u connect the dive. Just getting a feel for the timing and pressing just before the light shows up helps. I have a vid of me doing loops during the demo on my channel if u wanna check it out

Yeah, but it turns out that doing 3 loops and do the powered up finisher is better (i know you didn't say that loop indefinitely is better, but is good to know in case someone want to know) Also, you can dodge midair to avoid attacks or repositioning and that won't break your combos

Toothless has been an absolute unit in my roster---when I'm not playing him, it's almost as though AI is hitting even harder than I normally do, even taking a boss from 20% to nil in an instant on one occasion. I'd have never even known what happened if not for the quest results screen.

That just mean you are good at upgrading the stats for your CPU members isn't it. Like they can get left behind easily if you invest all upgrade points to your main character

Been really enjoying Rackham so far, his huge range and less input heavy kit make him both satisfying and not too harsh on my tendonitis. If tendonitis wasn't an issue I'd play Charlotta because her fast-paced gameplay and big damage are quite fun and feel powerful.

Cagliostro is my main for now. This video is making some other characters look fun AF though. Yodarha was my favorite dps during the demo as I love fast-attacking melee characters. Charlotta was up there too but I was hoping she could have more support skills and was disappointed she's almost purely dps. I'll need to get Ferry another look after this video along with Lancelot and spoiler character. Vane looks really good too.

one thing you forgot to mention about toothless godmight is that it also buffs most if not all his abilities aswell, they get addtional hits or faster animations

Katalina is broken, just keep Ares out and her damage is insane. Just keep looping an attack skill and mashing triagle and Ares stays on field for a long time. As long as you can use an attack skill Ares will never leave, so it's good to have skill cooldown sigils, also Frozen Blade because it has 2 charges. I also like using Emerald Shield, because you dont get interrupted during attacks, you still take some damage but this skill last longer than Light Wall.

I play support for the majority of games and this game has diverse range of characters that has it, I dunno which others should I pick but for sure Cagliostro is gonna be my go-to character for most part of the game and into multiplayer. I just still wonder for the characters why Rolan is not a playable char, crossing fingers for a dlc.

Percival's mechanic revolves around "Schlatt" because Percival knows how dangerous he is for what he did in '99.

My main team are Yodarha, caglio, vane and either seigried or Io. The last member can be anybody but with the buffs being provided by Caglio, very OP. Seigfried is good buffer and dame dealer too. Vane, i just like him. I might even include either Ferry, for additional buffs or Io for range dps since she can have more than one element

I'm still playing rackam at lvl 100 at the tail end of maniac. I've tried a majority of the other characters. I hope I get a second character I like as much to get some variety. :D

The level of characters you recruit goes up as the story progresses. Max is level 60 after you beat chapter "0"

Tip for Toothless , every attack skill allows you to start "Sword Flurry" combo which is more fast paced and ends your combo faster , I think this is also the case with Link Attacks , use skills while being ready to use Sword Flurry to get the maximum amount of meter and damage :D

There’s a lot of advanced tech for characters using animation cancels, redacted/toothless specifically has broken tech that seems borderline unintended. Can basically cancel any skill animation with a dodge into an instant, fully charged triangle dash combo. Cancelling correctly doesn’t proc the skill’s cooldown either so can be done indefinitely until full gauge. Was in Frieza form for like 95% of the time against the dragon lol

Vaseraga is so damn fun to play (I'm around chapter 6 in the campaign, but still)! He does suffer from MH's Greatsword phenomenon, where as soon as you start charging your move, the monster decided to just say "Nah, I'm gonna move away from you", but landing full charged hits is SO DAMN SATISFYING

Been playing and switching between Narmaya and Lancelot. Narmaya stance switching is just so fun to do and she deals a lot of damage. Lancelot just zips around the battle field and can also dish out a lot of damage. Just focus on building crit chance.

@@yass3425 you just have to keep his weapon imbued with ice to maximize his damage. Learn to dodge using his twin blade dance to keep the combo going. Most of his skills can continue comboing with his basic attacks and they recharge so quickly. He's not so good against flying enemies tough.

I main Yodarha. And ill be honest he makes my life easy with extreme. I just have him built crit, now he has 87 at 80+ level. With combo finisher, i like how he is invulnerable. Then add Mirage then is is pretty much just combo nonstop for like a minute without getting damaged. Hope every sees his potential

Zeta has infinite loop if you doing it in Link Mode and Break mode, since her role is Breaker Assassin. you can spam light attack repeatedly without fail, then after the timing is almost running out just hit Heavy attack or Arvess Slam.

Eh hard disagree on IU being a masterpiece. I remember being so hyped for that game and then just dropping it when I got near the end because I was so bored. Only bit I remember at all was the main dude giving up on his quest for revenge because he had got laid by the princess. If anything this game is ths weird lovechild of Rogue Galaxy and White Knighr Chronicles. Which I love since I have very fond memories of borh games and it just reminds me of those wonderful days when Level 5 put out some bangers like Dark Cloud and Ni No Kuni.
