Grand Canyon Colorado River All Major Rapids Lee's Ferry to Diamond Creek Nov 2018 and Jan 2019

Contains original clips from major rapids and riffles of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. (House Rock Rapid, Hance Rapid, Horn Creek Rapid, Granite Rapid, Hermit Rapid, Crystal Rapid, and Lava Rapid.) Also many clips viewing side canyons and river camps. (Lee's Ferry, Nankoweep, The Little Colorado River, Havasu Canyon, Tuckup Canyon, Diamond Creek.)
This is a video of my journey down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon National Park in November 2018 and January 2019. What a wonderful experience it has been to be lucky enough to go twice down this amazing stretch of river in such a close period of time. Months before my November trip preparation time set in and my mind was 100% focused on this 21 Day excursion down the canyon that i had never experienced before. I'm new to boating i just started rafting in Spring of 2018 luckily being on a trip with 15 other people some of them being veterans in the boating industry made some task easy going and other task much more difficult. I was able to learn so much from this trip when it came to multi day gear boating through big water and when i had the opportunity to go again i immediately said yes. After experiencing 21 incredible days with a big group of boaters and looking back at all the hard work it takes to get down the river i wasn't sure how it was going to go with four of us in just 14 days but due to having much smaller boats and less gear and people to cook for we were able to crush out 30-40 miles days.

@@alexnewkirk1137 That looks like definitely low water Horn Creek. Above about 12K that is a read and run rapid but below 10K it is a nasty rapid. That second hole will definitely get you! Nice high-siding!

Spectacular scenery and lots of things going on - enough to speak about for a lifetime! Sideways approach to such waves is not good, nor is it ever advisable; and there's a lot of it in this video. Perhaps, the boats are too much (too big, too heavy, for arms not strong, or quick, enough) to handle?! Seeing how you jump in the water and float: do you get wet under those costumes?

How hard was that hike up to Diamond Peak? & where is the trailhead to get up there?

Larry Wolf I would say some class 3 class 4 scrambling no ropes required just very looks rock through a couple sections. I’m pretty sure you access it up the drainage from 224 camp on river left just a couple miles upstream from Diamond Creek.

Jo Day I’m not exactly sure probably ranged a lot because there was a high water flow during our trip and it ran at 40k for 4 days

This video was a combination of two separate trips so the flow varied between 10k-18k also with a 40k high flow release.
