I live with my family - my parents and grandmother.. sometimes my brother comes to visit, too :) Most people here (who are not millionaires lol) live with family, friends, or roommates because the cost of living is very high.

@@JasmineDreams No offence to anybody. Today the living costs are really high across all major cities and in island's its exorbitantly high due to higher dependence upon imports. It needs to be either a millionaire or a billionaire to lead a high flying life.

Erica Tallosi happy to help! You can find a 1 bedroom from about $800/month to $1400/month or more, depending on area, size, amenities, etc. My advice is to email a real estate agent if you’re serious about looking. They’ll help you narrow down your search based on your needs :)

No problem! Glad you found it helpful. We actually didn't use an agent to find this place. We were working with an agent during our hunt, but a friend from work was moving back to Canada the same week we wanted to move and she suggested we take over her lease. She put in a great referral with her landlord and he accepted us... everything worked out really smoothly! If you know anyone on the island, word-of-mouth referrals to landlords can often get you the best deals when it comes to rentals. If not though, the agents here are really good and will help you find a nice place! You can even secure your deposit and everything before you leave your home country.
