What i don't like about Hots, is that most games are under 20 mins and most of the time 12-16 minutes. It is too little time to invest in a game, compared to others like LOL(30-45 mins) or dota 2(around 40-45 mins). I played once for about 3 hours and in those 180 minutes i think i played over 15 games.. you just don't have incetive to continue playing, it is too casual. Furthemore i think there are too many maps, what all other Mobas have shown is that 1 map is enough, but here we have what like 15 maps? Why did they keep introducing so many new maps, and not focus more on gameplay and balancing...People play same map for over 100 games , for 30-40 minutes each game and still don't understand all the intrinsecs of the map.. sure other mobas map are bigger but still the point remains that it is too much. What i felt i is also missing are the items. Now hear me out because i know Hots community hates this, but let's remember that everything started from Dota1 and more importantly from Warcraft 3. I remember like it was yesterday when i started playing the campaign, was levelling a Hero, a new unit in an RTS game and suddenly that hero Beside levelling up and getting new abilities it could also equip items. It was so huge getting a blades of attack on a dmg hero like Yurnero. Now given the fact above, why did Blizzard who created WC3, delete this idea of items on heroes?(more of a rhetorical question). This was the whole point of Heroes that you can level up, get abilities and get items. It would have been EPIC if they could keep same basic items (Not the advanced ones from Dota1 or Dota 2) also in Hots Think about this you get per game 2-3 items which bring another layer of complexity to a game, which is too casual. TL;DR 1) make games last longe, 12-15 minutes is not worht time investment/game is too casual. a game should be like 18-30 minutes, average 25 minutes 2) limit the number of maps at leas in ranked and maybe unranked... quick match could still have faster games and also all maps 3) introduce items, the basic ones from WC3, that give move speed, 10-15 dmg 5% critical etc. Hots needs this layer of complexity, which makes each game different from another
