Take over from Rugby, don't think so, Rugby is global,league is East coast of Aus,ok in NZ,same in the island's,big in part's of England,bit in France.SA,and bits here and there in other country's,union has 7s, around the world,at the Olympics,and a big following at the RWC,every 4yrs, Until league does the same, won't take over anywhere,And the money is big in union,where country's get a share of the money's made at the RWC,

​@morrisanderson818 League is about to legitimately challenge Union in NZL. League has been a sleeping giant in NZL for a long time, and that giant has woken up. Super Rugby is declining massively and the NRL is getting more and more popular. The fact is League has become a way better product, the shift in dominance of the All Blacks care free attacking style to South Africa and Ireland defensive style has made Rugby stale. The Europeans and South Africans love defensive Rugby, not so much Aussies and Kiwis. The old heads will keep following Rugby, but if it doesn't change to a more attacking and running style game, than the young people will gravitate on mass to League year on year.
