Terrible ending. Absurd plot mechanisms piling up- to have Tuoba Jun die at the end was too manipulative. The novel met with proven plagiarism and the script writers clearly decided to make the ending even more unsatisfying. The 2020 sequel doesn’t justify this ending here. What is it with Chinese scriptwriters who end so many dramas unhappily or rushed and weak?
