We did avinesh's first sydney show. and DAAAM no one compares really.. but while saying that sonam bali seems to be pretty insane too. Best male and female voice combo. Next show avinesh and sonam bali Duet singing kritans togather!

I agree with you 100% that there was a competition between these two talented performers. And yes, this has promoted them to another level in singing devotional songs. But! Should there be competition in Kirtan???? One should know that kirtan is just a prayer to our favourite Lord (God/Goddess). It is a means of make them happy so that they can bestow their blessings and accept ones prayers. Hence, it should creat vibration to bring that effect.

Instead of Competion, the title should have been named as GRAND KIRTAN PRATIYOGITA.... In pariyogita, the judgement is based on the artists...SWAR...LAYE..and TAAL.... In this Kirtan Pratiyogita I believe the audience were the judges and according to my best knowledge and experience I do give this artists credit for not using any abbusive languages......and thats a good impression to all our Fijian Community......CONTINUED.......

Pretty Sonam ji........In this Kirtan competition you gave Avinesh a hard time....Thumbs up gal..:):):).....You were very close to defeat him but Avinesh got away because of his experience.... I have no doubt on you..!!......In two years of time period you would be so good that no other kirtan singer can even come close to your singing style...... Credit goes to you..:):):).....A Canadian born gal can sing so beautifully.....Its Amazing..!! Keep up with your good work.....You can do it..!!

Kirtans should create spritual effect and not just any tunes.....These days its all movie tunes..... At the end of the day, it should be effective, sensible and which creat sweet effect in the ears of the listeners. These two have done a great job but lots need to be improved: such as shavads, swar and lay. Please bring about more effective spritual effects, don't just try to become popular by your tunes only! So that our new generation does understand it real importance. Best of luck you two.

Latest tune is not a big issue. The new generation really can't figure out or understnd difficult Hindi/Urdu words in Kirtans but they are fond of melodious beaty tunes. I do agree they do entertain themsleves in music but we all should be proud that they are not involve in any kind of crime. Noone is perfect....We all make mistakes so we should not look backwards but we can make things better in future for our new generation and for our comming up artist..CONTINUED..

They are the same. The difference is that one is a Hindi word and the other is an English word. Both meaning the same, Competition!! Both requires some sort of judgment to proclaim victory!

The question is.....If there should be a kirtan competition....Yes or No..???...... Well this quuestion cannot be answered or explained in one sentence.....It needs lots of mitual understanding as well as knowledge and experience to understand this philosophy.!!... The word Competition means a clash between /among two individuals or groups etc....In any competion their are judges involve to provide marks.( First place...second place etc ).....CONTINUED.....

When two Artist are singing in their turns, one to one, putting their great effort and performing to be the best with Swar,Taals and Ragas technically means a compertition.. However...Did you read the Kirtans Title..???...( GRAND KIRTAN COMPETITION )...Come on man.....Be honest and accept that was a competition.. Nothing wrong to compete with someone.....By competing one can learn his/her capacity as well as their mistakes and perform better next time..!!.. Go Sonam ji Go:):):).,Hehe Cheers.
