Such a cool concept, gonna try to get a few of the people I play with to try building a deck to mess with.

Wanna try this! Some impressions: 1) RP Luffy seems scary since he can mitigate the 3-life weakness 2) Ramp is stronger if you only draw 1 don per turn. But don minus effects are a lot more punishing 3) Decks have a max of 4 colors, which is cool for things like FILM or Strawhats 4) If both players draw and get 1 don per turn, going 2nd is strictly worse right? 5) Can the back Leader "DON" be restood by green effects, like G/P Doffy's effect? 6) Is the leader DON affected by things like 5c Bonney or 7c Hody? 7) Can the leader DON be sent to the don deck with don minus effects? 8) If the backrow Leader doesnt count as "don" does it still count as a "leader"? For ex could [I'm Invincible] restand Uta if she's in your backrow? 9) Yellow cards could be much more disruptive since you have 8-10 chances for triggers now 10) Nami definitely seems stronger now. Even if the decks are a bit larger, the game is longer + more life triggers, so I could see her being banned if the rules are just incompatible with her 11) Pudding, 4c Perona, and other hand disruption seems stronger since hand sizes are usually higher 12) Rushdown decks might have a harder time since games inherently take longer

oh and 13) the game maxes at 11 don now, so new combos are possible. For ex, Moria can use leader effect + 8c Moria in the same turn

Wow thank for your your impressions! Let me reply to some of them: 1-Yes, I talked about this with my friend after the games, but I think its okay for some leaders to be a little bit stronger than others. If Alliance ends up becoming popular and everyone is running RP Luffy, maybe we will have to ban it or something, but especially in multiplayer games, people can do threat assessment and hit the RP Luffy if need be. 2-It's still 2 don per turn, only on the first turn does everyone do 1 don (like going first in a normal game would be). This means everyone runs the "going second" curve of 2-4-6-8-10 and 11 (because of the backup leader). 4- I chose this method simply because it matches to how turns and drawing go in Commander. Being a singleton format, being behind just because you went first just doesn't seem fun (and Alliance is casual format). 5- Yes, anything that effects don can affect the backup leader, so like restanding or attaching rested don effects become stronger in Alliance. 7-Yes it can be returned like a normal don, but if it is in the DON deck and you have a chance to play DON (effects or DON phase) it should always be played first. 8-No, it loses all other card information other than the three special abilities (don, +2000 attached, +2000 counter) 9- Yes, yellow will be stronger, but you will only see certain effects once per game because of singleton. 10- I actually got to play against Nami and I won. The singleton+70 is actually pretty hard to overcome, even when you pair with lucci who mills 2 for free every turn 11- Yeah pudding hurts, but its not going to be consistent (singleton), so in some games you might not even see her. In multiplayer, everyone can just hit the pudding player for playing her, but it can also draw some players cards if they are under 5 later in the game. As for the other cards, hand disruption is a viable strategy so I'm okay with it being a little strong than in normal play. 12- Yeah thats just a side effect of starting at higher life, so I think rush down decks will have to use some different strategies (like focusing on attaching the backup leader more often to utilize the +2000 power) 13- Thats what Im hoping for!
