Grand Mosque of Paris

The Grande Mosquée de Paris (commonly known as The Paris Mosque or The Great Mosque of Paris in English), is located in the 5th arrondissement and is one of the largest mosques in France.

Many years ago back in 1997 I visted the beautiful mosque and there was an old man who gave me a French Quran, may Allah bless him. I was really impressed by the architecture of the mosque too.

Beautiful mosque. I prayed there a couple of time in 1999. I plan to visit it again Insya Allah in 2 weeks time.

Historical description: "the great mosque of paris" was built from 1922 to 1926 by the architects Robert Fournez, Maurice Mantout and Charles Heubès, according to the plans of Maurice Tranchant de Lunel, Inspector General of Fine Arts in Morocco, who was inspired by the mosques of Fes. The renovation of this building was carried out by a French company which called on craftsmen from Fez in 2015.
