Never thought of pigeons as the smartest bird in the nest, if you will, but now see them as quite the heroic flyers able to get messages to and from in dangerous skies!

Looks like the landing craft need some serious work doing to it, otherwise it’s gonna fall apart

The biggest issue faced by these lovely museums is funding. It costs a lot of money to keep the exhibits from being destroyed eventually by the weather and the salt air. The price of admission - if any - is usually not enough to cover the cost of maintaining these museums, without help from preservation or historial societies, as well as the French government and city councils. 😔

Hi Rob, it's cool seeing the Grand Museum :D. I didn't expect to see an anti-air gun exhibit outside the museum. Very well preserved too. Very cool seeing the insignias. The other things in the museum are so well preserved too. Oh my goodness, the lifelike model that they have to represent the one in charge for communications looks creepy lol. The commando lookalike looks cool, I concur. Very cool information about the pigeon rings. The sleeping area is fairly cramped. Quite the view from the top. Yeah, it is rotting a bit. But, the inside of the room is really well preserved, especially the telescope. LOL about the warning sign. Definitely risky. I don't know if I'd go up. I'm kind of clumsy, so I don't think it'd be a good idea for me to go up hahaha, but I bet it'd be a great view up there. It's awesome to see the landing craft. I agree with chipking6036, it doesn't look like it's in good shape. It's awesome how there's a sign about the film and craft. Great info as well. Again, it's really neat seeing the landing craft :). I too find it tough to imagine what the troops felt while going from the craft to the beach on D-Day. The M-7 looks neat! Thanks so much for sharing your experience at the museum and the exhibits. I appreciate the background you gave too. Awesome work! :)Take care, Rob :).

@@historyinyourhand1787 Rommel employed a variety of anti-tank tactics during the invasion of France, notably leveraging the formidable 88mm guns. These were crucial as German tank guns struggled against the thick armor of British Matildas. Rommel's quick thinking with the 88mm guns played a pivotal role in preventing potential setbacks for the German forces.

Totally enjoyed this little tour by you to peek inside the bunker. That “telescope” is a rangefinder used to guide the guns to hit targets. And please tell that radio room staffer to lay off the Pervetin. 😆🤣 Thank you again for this video and all the others you do. 🙏🏻 😊
