I was chosen to help carry the Coney Mall banner during the Grand Opening Parade. Worked at Thrillburger on Coney Mall in 1972. Worked at Shawnee Landing (War Canoes) in Rivertown in 1973 and 1974.

I don't know if she was there for the opening day festivities, but my mom was definitely there for the opening season. She was a cotton candy seller, in a 'Raggedy Ann'-style outfit. Her first job after graduation.

They are cool when they work, they removed them when they broke down on a chilly rainy day and it took the fire department 4+ hours to get everyone down.
