As an Orangeman,Royal Arch Purple man and a Royal Black Sir Knight I especially loved the clips of the Royal Black Preceptory tablecloth at the start of the video and the set up of an Orange Loge meeting room as I am a lecturer(confer degrees) in all three Orders over here in Northern Ireland.May God bless all Orange Brethern in Canada as they keep up their charitable work in helping all people regardless of their race or creed.

Agreed. I have seen many Canadians as well as your own Liverpudlians, in my home City of Glasgow, Scotland, UK.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧 Through the many years. It's always been a great sight to see the Canadian Maple leaf, along side it's brethren standards, of the United Kingdoms, as well as the United States Stars and Stripes. My great great great grandad (I know ha) moved to Canada from belfast . He was a protestant named John dolmer. I wonder was he a member of the grand orange lodge? Is there a way to check past members on a historical registrar ? Greetings from Ireland

The Orange Order and its sister orders are officially open to protestants who believe in the doctrine of the Trinity. Nontrinitarian Protestants like Unitarians, Church of God, Oneness Pentecostals ect are officially not allowed to join. Former Catholics and other Christians who convert to Protestantism are allowed to join the Order after a period of time and with the consent of the local Lodge and the Grand Lodge. In Ireland members the Orange Order are not support to marry non protestants and if they do they are officially asked to leave the order but this rule is not "hard and fast" in Ireland many are allow to stay in the Order. However in other countries this rule was dropped many years ago and Orangemen and women can marry non Protestants and still be Orangemen and women. P.S. Catholics also have their version of the Orange Order called the Ancient Order of Hibernians and have a sister order, but a separate order called the Knights of Saint Columbanus. Much of the same rules apply for a person who would like to join the A.O.H. or the Knights of Saint Columbanus that is found in the Orange Order except instead of upholding Protestantism and unionism the A.O.H. and the Knights uphold Catholicism, Irish nationalism and republicanism. And like it's protestant counterparts converts to Roman Catholicism are allowed to join the A.O.H and the Knights after a period of time and with the consent of the governing bodies of the A.O.H. or the Knights of Saint Columbanus.
