Great video guys. You guys seem like fun to travel with. My wife and I have actually stayed at the Grand Palladum 3 times. The funniest part was the crickets. There was one under my daughter's bed. She thought it was a spider. After a while though you get used to them and it's actually relaxing (but I was drunk so what did know). Anyway thanks for the four videos. We may go back this year or go to the Dominican.

Jess, what you are failing to understand is that people don't necessarily travel to a resort because it's pure luxury. If that's the case, they could have gone to any luxury hotel in Florida or Europe. There is something about Jamaica that Mexico cannot give-even if they try. The reggae vibers were good, not too much not to little but its mostly in the pool area. Where the accomodations are its very quite but the other areas are pretty live. We'd go again but the Riu is more turnt.

I cannot tell you about the process but I can say I witnessed 2 weddings while there. 1 on the deck above the pool area and 1 on the beach at sunset with the Japanese lanterns and both were beautiful to witness. Do your research, look on trip advisor to see which resort caters to destination weddings the best. Although everything looked amazing, I can’t speak on the behind the scenes ❤️

I gave the luggage guy $5 on arrival and departure because he carried our stuff up 3 flights of stairs and drove us around. Usually its $1 per drink but i learned to just pick a couple of spots and take care of 1 bartender off the top and they will take care of you. I would drop a $10 tip at the poolside bar and if they really showed off i would add to it lol.

My friends that’s came with us to Jamaica thought the noise was a recording until I took them to the nearest bush to find one. After our 3rd or 4th trip to Jamaica we got so used to them I sleep better when they’re singing.

The service absolutely sucks. Rooms wasnt ready at check in, one of my friends had to wait 19 hours for a clean room. Foods sucks and when you ask someone to do their job, they get an attitude. Worst experience I’ve had a resort… and lets not talk about food, absolutely no seafood unless you go to the seafood restaurant, and you better hope they’re not out of anything. Unless your invited to a wedding, go somewhere else!

You have to step outside the resort to know the Jamaican culture and see the locals. We are friendly and welcoming, however if you get a taxi out ensure that it has a red licence plate. I am a British born Jamaican who travels to my families land of birth often and I stay in hotels and in the community and that is the best experience mixing them both.

I will also say don't book an excursion through the hotel...or you will pay about $100 more than the real price. I wanted to go to Mayfield Falls...one of the hotels was charging $110 per person (4 of us), we talked to a private driver (red license plate) and he took us for $30 per person. Shoot on my Jamaica vlogs you see we negotiated EVERYTHING...LoL

Just watching this :) fyi, I'm sure you'll find this out though, there are 2 elevators at the resort. One in each lobby. This is helpful to guest with mobility issues to get from one floor to the next and access all common areas easily.

About tipping, so im no cheapskate i have worked in the service industry so I get it. Im confused as Sandals resorts say not to tip only your butler if you have butler service (which we got on this new years deal) and is odd to me as we are working class folk and just not accustomed to do something like that but anyways I'm getting off track... do we still tip, even though sandals says not to ( more specifically they said it was forbidden) but I care about service folks, but dont know if its really allowed . Please let me know if yall can...and whats appropriate tipping in Jamaica? ( when we went to Mexico I just tried to tip everyone who helped us so I made sure to bring plenty of fives and ones)

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks and it was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to, I mean the people that worked in the bar are quiet nice but every one else was so mean I don’t recommend you going to this hotel

Hotel/trip is paid in full How much Cash do ppl take over all and did you end up using credit cards much ( wanna avoid) Also this hotel is far from Ochi😡 looking for local peraon w car to take us places. migbt be cheaper to pay him

Honestly if all you have is 4 days, take it but I would suggest 6 as the sweet spot. We did 5 and it went by so quickly.

I can't thank y'all enough for the info!!! My bae & I are going on a trip for the 1st time w/o other ppl. I was torn btwn Dominican Republic, Montego Bay & Negril. I've been to Negril back in 2012 and been dying to go back ever since. I wanted to share a neww experience w my bae so being I've already been to Negril & DR (my dads family are natives so I've been a few times) Y'all made the decision easier! We smoke so why not go to the "weed capitol"?! I'm currently planning/booking for April. So excited thanks guys! ❤
