As a german it's nice to see a creative deck being played by another fellow german. Was absolutely one of the most fun matches to watch at GP Lyon!

Reach doesn't really matter when it has flying.... hehehe
@bumpasaurus487

Same with first strike. They are both almost totally redundant when you have flying and double strike. So the only ability that actually may matter that this deck can’t produce is deathtouch

I love how almost half an hour is dedicated to Soulflayer and then infect comes around, does it's thing, and is done with 2 games in roughly 6 minutes. Speaking of Infect, is there a place we can find that sweet deck? And ooh, mill! A jank and effective deck, infect, and mill! My 3 favorite types of decks! Love this. Thoughts on having Fraying Sanity in the mill deck?

Finally a cool deck

Do you think you could put dryad arbor into the soulflayer deck? You could fetch it in response to a Lili and then sac that if need be seeing as Lili can be very deadly to soulflayer, you also don't care about the summoning sickness as your deck doesn't need to be fast

26:40 he only drew one card off his reaper!?!? Does he really not know it draws for each chunk of damage/life gain? Come on now..🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Yeah, but the reaver has double strike, so it procs twice
@bumpasaurus487
@bumpasaurus487 3 жыл бұрын
@@Solmnfray61 you gain life each time damage is dealt, you are right, but you are missing that it has double strike so it deals damage two times per combat, and you draw a card each time.

i wonder why not hellspark elemental instead of spark elemental.
@gusstotts6079
@gusstotts6079 6 жыл бұрын
Spark Elemental is only 1 mana which contributes to the cheap small creatures to get in damage. This also allows them to cast more spells after a grisly salvage or a commune with the gods. Additionally, the unearth ability is a non-bo with delve. That would be my reasoning.
@bumpasaurus487
@bumpasaurus487 3 жыл бұрын
One cheaper and u can’t unearth if u delve it anyway. So pretty rare that I want the hellspark over it.

This deck looks so fun, but i would be completely devastated to see my soulflayer get countered after i delved the creatures... is there anything he can do against a UR or a UB player that just holds up 2 mana every turn?

Cavern of souls, a one of. play the traverse soulflayer version of the deck, also has Grisly salvage, which can make very easy to get your only cavern on your hand.

I play a version with chromanticore, samue and hazoret. Definitively a lot better in grindy matches as you can often hardcast samut and hazoret. And chromanticore if you have carrots out.
