Great video! I found your channel an hour ago! I want to be a racer too, but Idk how to start, I e-mailed a karting team but they didn't respond yet. Any tips?
@ChristopherBallKarting3 жыл бұрын
Hey man, find your local track and just get driving. If they have a club or members sort of night then get involved and meet new people. Keep working hard with your skills and hopefully the results will follow 🙌

@@ChristopherBallKarting Thanks man! The nearest track is 4 kms from me and a racing team owns the track. Some days later I'm 100% that I'll go there! Keep up with the good work, you doing amazing content!

What do you have to say about karting places that say their karts braking system behaves like a emergency brake so you can't brake properly so you cant go fast or put in a fast lap time , comment's?
@ChristopherBallKarting3 жыл бұрын
Can't say that's an issue we have at most UK tracks. Super annoying when a karting track restricts their karts but I understand why they do it.

Rental karting is where you can use the karts that the track give to you. Find your nearest track and use their karts to get racing!

Great video Chris! Great to see you back at my home track! Got to agree with you that the staff are the best around there. Never seen anyone do that with there sessions, a good idea If you come in a large group. Some advice for t1- if you go flat up until around the end of the concrete next to the pit lane exit on the left, if you then sharply stab the brakes whilst jolting the steering hard to the right you can get the kart turned very quickly and be back on the power very early, minimising your time loss trying to hold the kart at the apex. One of the key areas to getting a quick time. I suspect if you use that technique correctly you could get your time down to a low 34. Good luck for the next round!
@ChristopherBallKarting3 жыл бұрын
Thank you man! The rotation is clearly key with turn one and I was trying a few different things here to try and get the best outcome with T1. It really does separate a pack of drivers if the best can get it right. Hopefully come October I will be more prepared for RapiKart with this tip and I will not forget it!
@ignfarmer87693 жыл бұрын
Yes exactly, in the junior championship which I compete in it can be the difference between being a driver at the front or in the mid-pack. Best of luck in October, hope that this comes in handy. If you want to see it in action I recommend Lewis West 64’s channel. If I can remember correctly I believe you were on track with him at one point. He does Turn 1 and just about everywhere for that matter very well! 😂

@@ChristopherBallKarting There’s a round of the open GP championship coming up on the 15th August if you’re interested in a bit more practice around the circuit. It’s run with a 14 stone minimum weight limit to make things as fair as possible & usually results in great, close racing.

@@markpoyner8910 Thanks for the tip mark. I have my eyes on the endurance championship kicking off in October at the track. Hopefully going to get a few more races there soon amongst a busy calendar 🙌
