It's kind of weird that Navarro won 6-4, 6-1, and this video shows 4 winning points for Navarro and 5 winning points for Osaka. If I didn't watch the match or the final score I would have thought Osaka was winning, let alone in this match at all. It would have made more sense to show maybe 6 points won by Navarro and 3 by Osaka.

@@liveox9 Good answer. Another pet peeve of mine is that certain players seem to always make the highlight reel no matter how one sided the match. This philosophy ignores much more compelling matches of players I'm sure a lot of people would rather see but are not are not media darlings. Alcaraz, Gauff, Osaka & Raducannu are in that group of media favorites. I'm seeing a pattern here.

I find it disappointing that Naomi really wasn’t learning from her mistakes and decided not to cut down on the unforced errors/play with more margin. Yes, power hitting is intimidating but not always the most optimal choice, especially against someone who has a strong defense pertaining to ball redirection and solid movement. Ideally, she could start learning from players like Keys and Sabalenka who added more variety +spin to their game in addition to the power after power alone wasn’t working. I love Naomi, but ngl, she dug herself into a hole here…🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

She was on center court in front of a large crowd, most likely. Kept her composure and played very steady. Few errors.. Too bad the Wimbledon editors seem to have an agenda in favor of some players and against others, or simply are novices at choosing highlights. We aren't allowed to see many matches.

Not sure how it is big. Osaka lost 161st match in her carrier and has 62% of wins ratio. Players like Coco, Rybakina or Sabalenka have around 70% of wins. Swiatek has 82%.

Great match for Emma! The ability to move from defense to attack without turning the match into a hitting contest really undid Osaka today. Great display of point construction, variety, attack and movement 🔥Naomi just couldn't handle the consistent quality off Navarro's racket and seemed unsure with her footwork. Saw Emma Navarro last week at the Bad Homburg Open. She can definitely go far here. If she stays close near the baseline and doesn't get passive she's dangerous for everyone. She moves well, she thinks while she plays, and the forehand rocks.

CONGRATS to Emma!! This is really an upset for Osaka although it appears to be because OSAKA is the favourite player to win given that she has won 4 Grand Slams. However, grass isn't Osaka's best surface plus she just came back to playing professional tennis a few months ago after having a baby so it's no surprise that she is still developing her game again. Emma has been playing well lately so it's no surprise that she won this match.

She needs variety in her shot, and also to learn how to build a point and make opportunties with shot selection. Currently, her only strategy is to hit as hard as she can. Most females players in the top 30 can handle heavy hitters. Its not like it was 20 years ago when Serena and Williams could outhit everybody. The game has evolved. Noami hasnt. She needs a new coach or to mature.

Naomi ma problem z grą gdy jest presja o wynik i konieczność wygranej z racji tego co wcześniej osiągnęła na korcie. Before the season, Naomi announced that she had the biggest hopes for the hardcourts season and only now will we see her full potential. She has played some good matches so far, including one brilliant one in RG. It must also be admitted that Emma has very pleasant tennis to watch, so clean and varied, she can go far in Wimbledon.

It's the usual deal: Osaka plays a couple of good matches and she becomes immediately 'a favorite at Wimbledon'. Those spreading caution are called haters, but then reality kicks in. Of course the Osaka simps are nowhere to be seen now.

Naomi went downhill when she supported BLM and the victimhood mentality. Sad state for her.

I now realize why Naomi will never win another Grand Slam title because her game is very limited she doesn't have a slice game she can not slice at all, she has to be able to do that sometimes.
