Carey Loftin, Bill Hickman and their stunt driving buddies made this a great chase. These guys worked together on so many films. Hickman often was the only one shown on close-ups but they were all part of the stunt drivers under Carey Loftin's co-ordination. They were all part of the Union. Carey rarely appeared on camera but he he made a brief cameo in the restaurant scene in Duel. He was the truck driver and was credited on that film. Something that rarely happened.

The company that made gta was founded in Scotland so it is highly unlikely that this movie inspired the games and it’s more likely a what coincidence

I was kind of hoping all these great cars wouldn't be victims ,The Dodge Charger it was sad to see that being wrote off long with all the other cars in this movie classic thats still not available on DVD or Blu Ray,Even Rolls Royce didn't get a chance to survive this .
