it was the first 3d GTA. PS2 hadn't even been out a full year in North America when this game was made. it's incredible what they pulled off in that amount of time. and the legacy it created.

The AK in this game basically filled the role of the MP5 in later games, it's best treated as a short/medium range smg than a long range assault rifle
